Hi guys!

I wanted to share a couple documentaries I viewed recently at a festival. They touched me, shocked me and inspired me . The first one is called ROUGH AUNTIES, and it features 6 wonderful South African women who run BOBBI BEAR, a small organization that helps young children sexually abused, raped, abandoned and neglected. What a brave, loving bunch of women. They are angels on earth. Congrats to them!!!
And the other one I saw was almost too much to bear. THE COVE is about the dolphin slaughter "season" that happens every day in Taiji , Japan. They trap these beautiful, peaceful , highly intelligent animals and sell some of them off to captivity and the rest ( hundreds) get speared to death right there. It is one of the most brutal things I have ever seen in my life, and I had to look away. I usually try my best to watch animal cruelty because we NEED to see these things so we want to change them. But this, was so so sad. I couldnt stop crying for hours after it.
I am urging you guys to look into this, educate yourselves ( also be careful about the type of fish you all eat, some have toxic levels of mercury!) and help save these poor dolphins. 23 000 every year in Japan alone. This is disgusting. The website is www.thecovemovie.com
Go see it if it plays in you area ( I think international release may be in the fall). We can't let this keep happening!

Phew. Sorry for the gloomy post, but I always said that if I had a voice that others didn't, I would use it. ;-)

Hope you all are well. xoxo

Fortunatly, i don't like fishes...

Does this means that Japaneses people eat Dolphin without knowing about it...? Is it a sort of traffic made by some Japaneses fishermen...? It's hard for me to understand oral english langages. Does this food is exported everywhere in the world...?
How can we help to stop that...? I'm not sure that signing petition or give money for a foundation will be enough :( How can we point out that....? Act? Put some pression on those fishermen to make them stop that...?
It makes me feel so powerless...
I'll try to speak about the Dolphin to someone i know who now decided to help saving animals after receiving some body as a death threat.
Thanks for sharing.
