New Driver! ( well, sort of...)

Hi everyone! just sharing some news with you! throughout the years i have been asked this many times..." how come you don't drive??" well, the other day, i finally went and passed my written exam which means that now i can learn to drive so long as someone is in the car with me! so with this message i send a warning to all drivers on the road! watch out, new driver ahead! /images/graemlins/confused.gif it's the first step.. Congrats Karen, I am still a bit nervous when I drive after all these years. Mine's just nerves but I am relaxed now in the car and I love to hear my CD's and it's fun. Hope you enjoy driving and don't be as nervous as I was.

Awesome karen I get asked the same thing, "Why don't I have my drivers?" And my parents keep contantlly tell me I should get it. I'm almost 26, But I don't really want it, It's not that I'm scared to have it it's just I really don't need one. But I see my parents point, What if they both died (heaven forbid) Then How whould I get around? So I'm seriously thinking about taking Driving lessons, so I can have it in case something happens. awww I bet Karen will be better than me. I'm so nervous at the wheel, but after a few minutes, I relax and try to have fun with it. Hear a good CD you enjoy Karen, that helps relax you in the car. The key is to relax which I'm not good at.

I don't have my drivers license either, but i am only 19 so i guess i still have lots of time to get that. I am pretty content to take the bus and skytrain, less expensive to pay for that than it is to pay for gas. ((trust me i have done the math)) /images/graemlins/laugh.gif

If the parent that teaches you is like my mother - and she scares you to death by screaming at you, Dreamdust .. do what I did today, convince her to let you drive by yourself in a parking lot - you'll get used to the turns and brakes and don't forget to crank the radio up REALLY loud! /images/graemlins/cool.gif

Congrats! I'm sure you'll do fine. I'm hoping to get my license soon. I live in a very small town and we don't have any public transportation, so I have to learn to drive. I practice in an empty parking lot and on back roads.
