Amazing Race Finale

I am so worried that I'm going to be working late tonight and I might miss the Amazing Race Finale. Dave is under strict instructions to Tivo it for me - and he can't watch it until I get home! But, still... I hate that other people will know how it turns out before me!!! I am so excited for tonight. But also sad, because it'll be over.

Who do you all think will win? It seems Rob & Amber are the team to beat... But I am still so impressed that Joyce shaved her head - she rocks!!

Isn't TiVo the best thing since sliced bread. I just love it.
On AR I thought Gretchen and Meredith were just troopers. They were the ones I most admired, I was amazed how far they made it. I hope my husband and I when we retired can be go getters like Gretchen and Meredith.

Oh I am so excited about the Amazing Race finale tonight!! My fav team( the brothers, Greg & Brian ) were eliminated a while back, so I don't really have a favorite now BUT I gotta give props to Joyce. For her to shave her head to get a FF,she's definitely in it to win it so I guess I'll be cheering for Uchenna & Joyce tonight.

I know how you feel. I'm going to be late getting home tonight.(softball). I think I will be home by 8:00 but i'm taping it just in case. I can't wait to find out who will win. I am so hoping it is Joyce and Uchenna, Rob and Amber are just so sneaky. But I give them credit, I haven't heard one cross word from them. I think there wedding will be on CBS in a few weeks or so. Does anyone know when the next one will be, I hear it is going to be family's of 4 with kids atleast 8 years of age. Should be good. They will probaly film it this summer. Not sure though.

I am rooting for Joyce and her husband too. I do NOT want Rob and Amber to win. I"ve never been a fan of his but when they didn't stop to check on that stranded team, ARG!

I hope the tivo works this time. It's a two hour show so hopefully you will make it home on time.

Ooooo, I hope you aren't home too late. It drives me crazy when I miss something at night, and that's what everyone at work is discussing the next day.

I'm rooting for Uchenna and Joyce. I just went through IVF, and thankfully we just found out we are pregnant. It is the hardest thing I've ever done, and seeing how strong they are, I wish them all the luck in the world. She looks so beautiful with her head shaved! After all, Rob and Amber already won some money, and had their wedding filmed, and probably mostly paid for. Spread the wealth right?

I hate when I have to work late and miss my favorites /images/graemlins/smile.gif, but ya gotta love TiVo (and I would if I had it, I'm sure, but the old VCR still works for now /images/graemlins/smile.gif, though I'm still lobbying for TiVo with my hubby /images/graemlins/smile.gif). But enjoy the show...I haven't watched much this season, but I'd probably root for the team with Joyce 'cause she sounds like quite a lady and frankly, I'm tried of Amber and Rob /images/graemlins/tongue.gif.

I like Uchenna and Joyce because they are ALWAYS nice, and they seem so genuine. But, I also like Rob and Amber, they already have a million thanks to survivor so they don't need to win, but they are entertaining and they will stop at nothing to win, they are very determined. We'll see who prevails tonight!

I'm not an Amazing Race fan and have only seen maybe one show, but I find myself enthralled with this tonight /images/graemlins/grin.gif As one whose grown up toting along with my dad on golf courses that was fun and amusing to watch LOL

Wasn't that AMAZING tonight??!! We were THRILLED to see Uchenna and Joyce win! When that pilot agreed to let them on the plane, we were screaming with excitement. Weren't they just so nice and so decent when they wouldn't stiff the cabbie? Rob and Amber would have kept their mouths shut and ran out of that cab so fast! Seeing the excitement on all the other teams faces was so cool. Uchenna and Joyce are truly an inspirational couple and it was great to see them win.

P.S. Don't forget to TIVO them on the Early Show in the morning!

I think CBS rigged it so that the finale would be more interesting... normally, there is NO WAY they would have let U&amp;J on that plane!! It was already leaving the gate! Someone at that airport got a call from CBS, I guarantee it. I am a fan of Rob and Amber, but U&amp;J were my #2 team... I'm happy for them. Now they can adopt their baby. /images/graemlins/smile.gif I just wish it hadn't happened the way it did because it was fishy. I am also glad that Ron and Kelly came in last because Kelly is a witch who did not deserve to win IMO.

Actually, I never really watched Amazing Race before, but I tuned in last night! I thought hey if Ali likes it, it must be pretty good. Since it was my first time watching, I didn't really know who would win, but I thought the finale was great, really fun to watch, I really got into it. My mom did too! /images/graemlins/grin.gif LOL! I was happy that Uchenna &amp; Joyce won, they seemed like a really nice couple! /images/graemlins/smile.gif But, I liked Rob &amp; Amber too, they seemed pretty cool. At the beginning of the finale, I thought they'd win!
But I want to know who Ali wanted to win....

I wanted Rob and Amber to win, but I think Uchenna and Joyce deserve it more. R&amp;A already have a lot of money, and U&amp;J are going to use the money for in vitro or adoption. Plus Joyce shaved her head! I almost cried when she did that!! They really deserve it!

I'm also happy that Ron and Kelly didn't win! Their fighting was getting on my nerves!

Hi Jen! I don't think CBS rigged it because it happens too fast. However, they probably cut out the part where Joyce and Uchenna told them they were in the Amazing Race and this was the last leg and begged them to get the plane back! If CBS was involved, don't you think they would have just held the plane in the first place??

W/e almost EVERY single "reality" tv show is fixed.

I could care less. I am HAPPY that Uchena and Joyce won cuz I did not want that snake in the grass to win.

They deserved it IMO cuz they weren't lying about this and that to ppl and calling ppl stupid about this and that. I was rolling when PA showed the news and had Amber's family on there, that wasn't news Hmmm I should call them.

Yea the finale rocked and they already have casting for S9.

I broke down and bought the first 7 seasons of the Amazing Race on DVD. Being somewhat prone to "buyers remorse", I must admit that I am pleased with my purchase. Even though I have seen every season, it has been almost like watching for the first time. I remember the winners of each race, but don't remember the order of eliminations. So many teams and tasks that I had forgotten about. It would be cool if they did an All-star Amazing Race (like Survivor minus previous winners) or a "where are they now" type reunion show. It is something to watch in the off season. Lots of pretenders to the throne.
