Please have a random music experience...

if you like good music...you should check out the following....some of them may be hard to find... but remember kids..."main stream" doesn't always = good.

Mirah (simple, indie, melodic)

Belly (early 90's, amazing guitar, interesting vocals)

Dresden Dolls (getting more popular, piano and drums = amazing)

Gomez (an experience)

Mary Timony (beautiful vocals over a sea of sounds, songs can tend to be hit or miss)

The Muffs (early 90's, know best for "kids in america' cover from the Clueless movie opening, AMAZING live.)

the Pixies (classics)

Poe (haunting vocals)

The Start (amazing LA based band, i saw them for the first time when they opened for Phantom Planet(before PP got big) a few years back. They are electro 80's the songs will get you shakin your makin)

Cool thread, some great suggestions...I still love Belly and The Pixies, and Gomez is great, heard good things about Mirah and Dresden Dolls too but haven't checked either out yet, gotta get around to that. Anyway, this makes me want to start spewing out a slew of suggestions, but for once I'll mercifully refrain... /images/graemlins/laugh.gif... jic you missed this though, Gomez has a new double live album out at a single disc price...they don't change their studio sound a whole lot live, so it's a bit like a best hits collection for long time fans, but it's still got that great live feel, recorded real well, and a few extras, including a cool Nick Drake cover...well worth the bucks imo.. /images/graemlins/grin.gif
