Hobbies

#MAC#16 has posted a poem recently and stated that they like to write poetry as a hobby which got me thinking, what does everyone else like to do for hobbies? (besides watching MITM and posting on Justin's board ;) )

For me, I like to write in novel form. As some of you have heard me say before, I have 4 novels in various stages of completion. One is a comedy/mystery I began writing in 1997, another is a laugh out loud story about Grandparents who are demanding and mean but in a comical way. Another one is a psychological thriller and the last is a coming of age story. I've gone years in between working on one and then one day, pick it up and write a few more chapters and then put it down again for a few months. It's kind of a strange process but I feel I'm able to do my best this way. :)

I also like to go for long walks (preferably on the beach :D ) and read, go to the movies, watch TV and go out to dinner. :)

I love to dance, particularly jazz, ballet, and hip-hop. I like listening to music (rap), going to the movies, and I like to read, though I'm very picky about what books. And I also write a lot of poetry. :)

i teach myself to play the keyboard and write poetry. i used to write alot but not so much anymore. i like to make home video type movies. i do some pretty good prank phone calls....but i dont think that counts as a hobby. i like to do different voices like character voices and impersonate people. im not that good but i like to do them so its a hobby!

My hobbies are being lazy :D , chilling out with my mates, watchin tv, playing computer games and kickboxing :)

Humm.... I like to travel extensivly and often, I enjoy spending time with my friends and acting a fool in public... ;), I enjoy driving, watching movies, and of course flying planes, as well as many other numerous and strange activities! :D

my all time favourite has to be dancing, i don't take lessons but i still love it :D lol, i also have to say i agree with mike on the whole being lazy thing but i don't really have that much time for it now inbetween work and school :p but i do like to draw aswell, my art teacher always told me to go into it as a profession or something, but i agreed against it, i thought it would just take the fun out of it for me :)

I love watching movies, some of my favourites are ones which feature Bruce Lee/Brandon Lee/martial arts/some supernatural. I like films that have a mixed-genre such as The Crow (1994), which had one of the best storylines. Some of my favourite tv shows are crime, mitm, and drama.

Aside from watching tv and movies, I like going on fishing trips. Theres quite a few places around here in Scotland which I take a walk and spend a few hours fishing. I always like to put the fish back alive and well.

I like using the internet posting on safesearching my favourite forum because the nicest people online are all here in one place and I like the way safesearching is moderated, it can be contrasted between other places like IMDB which have hardly any moderating. I like programming in HTML on the computer and I have built a few web-sites using HTML, I'm thinking about studying some other programming languages though.

I also use the computer for gaming and some console gaming. My favourite pc game is quake III arena (the threewave CTF mod) and my favourite RPG is Phantasy Star Online, I used to play those two games on my favourite 90's console the Sega Dreamcast.

I like to make a lot of friends online, and at safesearching everyone is friends its like having a nice family here. :)

I like watching football (soccer) on tv, playing snooker (a bit like pool), and training. :)

I love listening to music ! (rock)... the music is my life! and playing with my pets! I love when my cat get mad with me because she's sleeping and I begin to play with her and she doesnt want to play! so.. she just look at me and it seems like she want to say: leave me alone!!! I wanna sleep!! she makes me laugh! lol

well I love to read and to write. I have some small stories, a lot of poems and a theater play, but right now I haven't been able to write something good, or anything at all! :(

I love theater, so I have no shame or fear to the people, and maybe that's why I make such stupid things lol :D

And of course I love to post here with you guys, you rock :cool:

umm... i don't know whether or not this counts and u will probably all think im wierd but i love to collect stones/minerals. i just love the different colours and sorts, how they are all different. what fascinates me the most about them is the fact that they are millions of years old, yet they are still here. all of my window if full of all different shapes/sizes/colours and im still getting more lol :p

I've lost them all over the years but this does remind me of a large hobby of mine. I collect coffee mugs. They are from different states, cities and countries I've traveled to. They say the name of the place I visited and I have over 200 of them. What's really great about them is I can go through them when I'm feeling down, for instance, and see the names of places I've visited and all the memories rush back and I'm suddenly happy again. It may sound strange but it's helped me on more than one occasion. :)

frrom all my frinds and family, whenever im bored, i look at them and i get happi and feel a if i was recievining them at the time i got them!!

oh wow i used to do that, i still have one or 2 shells around my room now from all different places, but now i am earning money i can afford to buy them instead of robbing beaches lol :p

wow, those are cool hobbies everyone! :) well, mine are getting online (lol, it's obvious isn't it? lol), fixing up my car (or any other folk's old car), mountain biking, camping, off road driving :cool:, and basically doing any kind of outdoors activity :), tearing stuff apart to see how it works :p, listening to music and playing songs on my guitar (if i'm able, and find some inspiration), and about collecting stuff.... well, i collect toy jeep's :) i have lots of them in my room.

I love fishing, kayaking, swimming any water sport really. I TRY to write poems :P I love to just go driving on the bike...any good day just hop on and drive to the seaside. I also do a wee bit of boxing not for the fighting side but just for the fitness.

I like to make videoclips and play videogames. I sometimes do sports, but unfortunately not very often. :D I try to work out every day, but that´s not a real hobby. :D
