Hey, what's up peoples? I'm back for a second. I haven't posted here for A LONG TIME. I had a little troubel logging on to the website........took me a 1/2 hour. I made another screen name because it wasn't working with my "login" name. The old "safesearching" your login name was different from your "seen name" on the forum. But I figured out that my login and screen name are ths same now! Whew!

Anyway, I just wanted to say that in some strange way I made it to IMDB.COM.....that is so wiered. How'd they find out about that little project I did? Yep, I entered Derek McKean, and it popped up with me(no picture yet), and my one credit, which is not even a credit. Strange huh? Well, I'm there! Crazy, huh?

See you guys in another month (for the very few people who remember me). LOL

Hey Derek! Welcome back. Glad you were finally able to logon. That's very cool that you're now on imdb. We have at least one other member who's one there (besides Justin, of course ;) ) and that's AlexTheMartian. Congrats and don't be a stranger. Stop back when you can. :)

Yep, I am on it too :D. I currently have one Executive Producer for my friend's 45min high school film/dvd, and Producer for The 1 Second Film which is a donation credit for charity. So I only have 1 real credit, but that is an independent film. I am at a effects/graphics house part time in Hollywood so soon I will have annother credit, maybe even one on TV.

Oh and Derek, to add a picture, it has to be 300 pixles wide or bigger (I usually submit 450 pixel wide photos) and it cost $35 to add your main profile picture, and $10 for photo gallery ones

Congrats! I have one to, but for nothing worthwhile!(no no, not an actor like you, I am camera shy lol, for some donation thing, where if you donated money they gave you a credit, not very professional, but anways) lol I hope to get some credits added to mine in the near future. I am actaully working on a documentry with a small group, hopefully we finish that up soon!

Congrats Aric! :) That's cool that you're working on a documentary. I like documentaries, they re very informative about topics I don't always know a lot about. What's the topic for the one you're group is working on?

Well, it is all planned, its just a matter of getting the actaul filming done.

But the topic: I feel very strongly about world poverty, as does my group, and while not trying to give to much details away! lol. Anyways two or three of us are going to venture out of North America for a month and do the documentry in the "A day in the life of..." format. Basically a story of a family, or small community in how they go about their lives while living in poverty. Sounds kinda of far fetched huh? lol Biggest cost is the $2000-3000 it costs to get into some of those countries by air!

We are working with it, it just takes lots of planning as you may think to arrange for a trip into unstable countries! Probably be another year (once I am out of high school) before we will make the journey. I still hvant decided what I want to do for post-sec education so I think I am taking a year off, and what better way to spend that year then doing something you like, for a cause you like :D

Thanks Rye for your interest

This is wonderful Aric that you and your group are taking an active interest in this cause. I think your ideas sound very good. Awareness is the key. It's easy for some people to sit in their homes and never think that there are people out there in this world we all share who aren't so lucky and don't have heat or enough money to feed their families. By making people aware of what's happening across the world in regards to poverty by showing them a firsthand account, your group can make a real difference. All my best in your documentary efforts and do please keep us posted.

HAHA thanks Rye. I am sure it will all pay off...... I am working 20 hours a week right now, which I think is a lot for a high school student :P, just to get some money to actaully carry on with my incentive.

Anyways, its 10pm here and I have been up since 5.30 this morning, so I am about ready for bed! (Damm work, who goes to the pool to swim laps at 6:45 on a SUNDAY ARGHHHHH)

wow... Justin's work is rubbing off on people I guess. I am in college right now to become a Visual Effects and Motion Graphics artist. and we have a total of 3 people on this board who have credits on IMDb... Justin is a the best role model, and an inspiration to us teens getting into the same or simular industry with all that he acomplished at a young age... being the youngest actor in television history to be in over 100 eppisodes of two different television series and producing at the age of 18. Maybe someday I can do some awesome effects for a film Justin produces. Keep up the good work Justin.
