The do's and don'ts of uploading and other link questions

There seems to be some question as to why some links in posts are allowed and some aren't.
For the most part, Posting Policy #15 explains it all. It states that personal sites will not be allowed if they are password protected. This is for your own safety.
With regards to the recent uploading questions, TV shows such as Charmed, Ghost Whisperer or even the Who's The Boss Reunion on the Tony Danza Show, are all protected by copyright laws. Therefore, the posting of links that lead to uploading of these shows will be prohibited.
Essentially, you can mention you have access to this type of information and even offer to share it via private message... you just can't post the link to where you got your information from.
I hope this explains some of the recent actions taken.
