Hey, if you guys really want to listen to some great music you might want to check out the new dvd set that Rush just put out! A friend of mines was able to get me a copy from umvd, I havent' been able to get away from the tv. I love this band, I've been listening to them since I was a kid, probably one of the best progressive rock bands out there. If you're a big fan like me you'll love the set, it has the concert in Frankfurt last year plus some other concert footage, check it out if you're interested and let me know what you think,

I guess if I were going to vote for my all time favorite prog rock band, most of the time I'd probably pick Yes, even though I think the last really great studio album they put out was Close To The Edge. And Rush sure has had their moments ...a lot of albums over the years...a few of them have sounded like clunkers to me, but I think at least 4 are really great... I'd say they've definitely earned a prominent spot in music history. I've had several opportunities to see them live, and every time had to pass it up because of some damnable circumstance or other.. the last one was a FREE third row ticket, dead center, at our large outdoor amphitheater just a few years ago...having to turn that one down REALLY hurt..:mad:..LOL, oh well, I'm still kicking for now, and so are they, so maybe someday. :rolleyes:

I love Rush :D I didnt realise other people on this site liked them as well.

Hey,
My dad has this like huge obsession and i bought him that dvd for his birthday last year, he has all the albums an singles they have ever released!!!

my fave song is probable Anthem just because of the lyrics such as "know your place in life is where you want to be" and "they always told you selfishness was wrong yet it was for me not you that i came to write this song" and i also love the lyrics to Anagram just for the cleverness of it and Tears makes me cry lol im so soft
