Hey everyone!
I'm just writing to give everyone a bit of an update on Justin's thread.
If you've noticed recently, you'll see that all of our new posters' threads now have links to their very own welcome added. In speaking with Rye, We have agreed that this is a very neat way of better expressing our traditional welcome to our new members, without making Justin's thread too confusing to follow. Please note below a few good reasons for this new initiative:
i. It gives our members a sincere and more personal welcome to our boards. This way, we no longer have to go 'Welcome X, Y, and Z' all at once in one post. It will give a more personal touch.
ii. It keeps the replies consistent with Justin's initial post. This will make it easier for Justin to view replies that are for him, as opposed to the welcomes for others. We know that he doesn't always have a lot of time to view the boards seeing as how is a very busy guy, so we thought we'd make everything easier by moving out the welcomes.
iii. Members and new welcomee's no longer have to dig through the threads to find their welcomes. This makes it easier for both our members who are unsure of whom they welcomed and our new posters to find their welcomes.
iv. It gives our new posters and experienced members alike an equal chance at participating in Justin's thread without splitting our new poster's posts out. We know that's not really fair to our new posters and that's why we've done this.
When our new members reply to Justin's thread, we can still welcome them the same as we always did. I will try at best to start the welcome threads, just so nobody feels like they're being 'put on the spot' when the posts get split out. If any of you would like to start it instead, that's totally fine. :)
I really do feel the way it looks now reflects everyone's best interests, as now the thread is definitely alot easier and simpler to read for all who view the site. If anyone is up for comment, I am open to hearing them!
Have a nice week :)
