I'm not sure. Her accent does sound russian. I wish we knew her last name. That would say a lot about Ida. Didn't Lois' dad also speak with an accent? I think so but he only appeared in one eppy, I'm not positive.

yes, he had an accent as well. he was in one eppy only :" the grandparents"

after watching the xmas eppy, i realized that shes probably russian. she was saying some words that sounded russian to me.

Did you guys see the episode (and I can't remember the title when I need to, lol. :o ) but it's the one where Reese wants to stay up late and watch the scary movie and Hal and Lois say if he can put Dewey to bed he can stay up. I think it's from season 1. Also during this episode, he calls Ida and we hear her voice on the other end of the line and it's quite a bit different than the Ida we all know and her voice. It must have been filmed before they cast Cloris Leachman as Ida. Didn't know if anyone had picked up on that before. :D
