This sounds like an interesting episode. Lois and Malcolm together in the same room for a whole day! :eek:

LOIS GIVES MALCOLM THE KISSING DISEASE ON "MALCOLM IN THE MIDDLE" FRIDAY, JANUARY 27, ON FOX

Lois visits the doctor and finds out she has mono – and then gives it to Malcolm when her maternal instincts kick in. The two are forced to spend day and night together, holed up in the same room. Meanwhile, with Lois out of commission, the neighbors invite Hal to all of their parties because they think Lois is a drag on the "Mono" episode of MALCOLM IN THE MIDDLE Friday, Jan. 27 (8:30-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.

It's mononucleosis. It's similar to the flu, except worse. There's no antibiotics for mono unless you have additional illnesses like strep throat. It's basically a virus that you have to let run its course. Rest, plenty of liquids and Tylenol for the aches and pains is about all you can do. It can take up to 4 weeks for someone who has mono to feel back to normal.

No problem. :) I had it once when I was around 12 or 13. It really knocked me out for a few weeks. :(

You can get mono through kissing and that's one of the most common ways someone gets it however, people can also catch it through coughing and more often, by sharing straws or utensils with someone who has the disease.
