Okay... this question is for the guys on this board. If you had the chance... where would you take Jennifer if you had the chance to take her out on a date? I'ld take her to "Canyon Creek Chophouse", an excellent steak house near me, and then out for a night of dancing because dancing is always lot's of fun! I'ld then spend the rest of my life re-living the experience over and over in my mind because *sigh* would that not be somethin'...........

Well, it would have to be someplace my wife liked because I don't think I would get to go with Jennifer by myself.

I'd buy us both plane tickets to go to New York. So we would be flying on a plane together for about 3 hours. Then we would arrive in New York and I would take her to Tiffany's. For breakfast, of course! We could grab a pastry and window shop outside. We could also go inside and check out the merchandise. However, we would not steal anything. Although I wouldn't mind stealing kisses from Love. ;-)

Then I would take her to Brooklyn Botanical Gardens. I have heard that there is nowhere more romantic than the Botanical Gardens of Brooklyn. If chilly outside, it would be a pleasant respite from even the coldest of days.

After that I would take her to Central Park. We would go on a boat ride below Bow Bridge. Then we would head over to the Brooklyn Promenade for some lunch before heading over to the Ice Skating Rink at Rockefeller Center. Even though I suck at skating, it would be a pleasant evening just being able to hold Love's hand.

Then we would head over to the Metropolitan Museum of Art for dinner and a drink, getting to talk some more. Finally, during the evening I would take her to the top of the Empire State Building where I would slow dance with her and serenade her with a song. Considering that I am scared to death of heights, this would be quite an accomplishment for me. But I would do it in a New York second. No pun intended. And then I would give her a warm embrace and goodnight kiss.

Hmm. Given the chance, my first question to her would be "Where would YOU like to go?" After all, she's got plenty of money to do the exotic trips (like hawaii) on her own and does so already. If left to me, and if she were game for it, I'd be happier taking her out to try something that maybe she hasn't had a chance to experience; maybe something more mundane but still fun that her work and professional public life might not offer her the chance to try otherwise.

Maybe go for a ride up the coast, or on the Dragon's Tail in east Tennessee, on the back of my old Triumph cafe racer motorcycle, then maybe going out four-wheeling along some of the mud trails with the local Land Rover club. Nothing fancy; just a chance to relax in a way that lets her get out of the public eye and away from the pappratzi, and just unwind and have some fun. Finally wrap it up with a day at Bonneroo, Tennessee's spirtual inheritor of the original Woodstock music festival (although I could see her playing in it as likely as attending it, but that gets into where I think her muscial career should be going, and that's a whole 'nother post). Basically bring her home a little tired, maybe a little dirty, and a WHOLE lot more relaxed than she's been in months, and with (hopefully) a big grin on her face to show for it. Somehow I just get the feeling that deep down inside her, there's a part of her that might enjoy a little break from living up to the public image and just getting to be herself. Maybe I'm way off base, but that's what I'd at least offer her, given the chance. Don't see that ever likely happening, sad to say, but since this question was a "what if" type of thing, that's my answer.

Hmmm, That's easy to the place I like to go. Out on the lake her in sunny SC, for some summer fun country boy style. Jet Skiing until we fall out or run out of gas, then light a fire to warm up and dry off as the sun sets. Then maybe cooking something good to eat out under the stars. I don't think it's the quantity of time and money spent it's the quality. BUT, I would have to get my special one's permission first. I'm sure she would be ok with it, she thinks JLH is beautiful too!! later people, Doug

I would take JLH to my favorite Italian place, "Sal's Bit Of Italy" in Anaheim for the best Italian food on the planet, and then down to the Marina at Newport for a Harbor Cruise. Love deserves the best I could offer, and that's what it is.

Hmm... this reminds me of a poem I wrote once... ah that poem was fictional anyways. Realisticly I think I would have to do something similar to what JTravis said. Something she hasn't done before... Oh well, I guess I would have to take her all over the world, this is hypothetical right? First stop, England. We could find a nice castle to stay in for the weekend or get lost in the country side under the stars. Then Venice Italy. We could drink champagne and dance in the rain. Then Greece because they are supposed to have beautiful beaches there, deep rich blue oceans licking at the white sandy beaches. Then the mountains of Tibet. Then Alaska because I've always wanted to spend a night in a cabin, and watch the aurora borialis, I think that's how you spell it, aka northern lights. Then back home, and hopefully we would've learned a thing or two about life.

Hmmmmmm.......I'd probably handle this much like JT. Ask her what SHE would like to do, although knowing Jen she'd just say "Upto you":D

This would be a multi-day date, coz I'd have a few things to show her:D

First day, I'd take her to lunch in town at the Jupiters Casino.....they have great lunches there and it's nice down on the water, then we'd go and see the Barrier Reef Aquarium and Reef Museum. Then we'd go to the Townsville Art Gallery and probably take in a play or two at the Civic Theatre. That afternoon I'd book a table for two at the Capitol Chinese Restaurant, and then we might take in a piccie at the theatres in town. The next day, I'd take Jen for a long trip out to Ravenswood and Charters Towers to show her the old towns and history of the region. Show her all the mines and such, teach her how to pan for gold, then in the late afternoon, after we got back from the trip, I'd have our ferry tickets over to Magnetic Island booked so we'd be over there by early evening. Next day, we'd go horseback riding, parasailing and swimming at Horseshoe Bay.....bit of bushwalking and go see the koalas and such at the nature reserve at the bay. The next day's afternoon, we'd come back to Townsville and I'd take her back to her room (probably at the Casino) and let her get an early night. The next day before she flew out, I'd take her for a drive upto Thorton's Gap for some sightseeing. It's about 750m asl and you can see for hundreds of kms from up there on a clear day. It's the best view along the entire coast.....see all the islands along the coast, the blue water of the sea, the air is crisp and clean and what's more, you can buy property up there next to the escarpment. So she might be tempted to buy a small holiday property up there:D

I'd show her my home, or at least where I grew up. I know she would like where I grew up. My hometown looks like it is straight out of a Norman Rockwell painting. Definitely take her to the town square when they have the "Art in the Park" going, then that same evening they'll have a band playing in the Gazeebo. So we'd throw a blanket out on the ground to watch that. I'd definitely be cooking the dinner for us. Then I'd get a bonfire going at the back of the yard and the two of us would spend the rest of the night countin' stars...or something.

It'd also be nice if she would be there for a good mid-western thunderstorm. We'd sit out on the back porch, feeling the cool wind blow around us and watch the rain fall as flash after flash of lightning would light up the night. That would definitly be a great night...

I think Jennifer should read these, pick the best one, and actually go out with that person! What do you think? Kinda like a prize for the best entry... or maybe an autographed picture or somethin'. Just dreaming again... sorry....

If I had that chance I would invite Jennifer to know my Country that is Brazil,
and it would take her
to the coast of Santa Catarina in the beach of Bombinhas, I believe that would be a
wonderful day, because in her company and in those wonderful beaches, certainly
that would be an unforgettable day!!

JT you stole my fantasy!! I don't know, alot of the things everyone has posted seems like something she can do any day of any week of any month of any year. But I think the ability to slow down and enjoy the wonders of the world, the beauty of nature and the time to ....just time being human would be something she might not have chances to do at the drop of a hat and may be something she would enjoy.
But then again, what do I know?

Thanks. Everybody has their own ideas of the perfect way and place that they'd like to spend time with Love, if given the chance, and they all are interesting and offer something different. But as far as mine goes, I look at it this way. You know, the thing is, she's beautiful and famous and all that, but beneath it all, she's still just a person like anyone else, so why wouldn't she like to get a chance to just relax and have fun doing stuff that has no pressure, no paparatzi, no public image to have to keep up in the back of her mind. I've never met the woman, so I can't say anything for sure, but even if your life seems like everyone else's fantasy, it's still your daily reality, right? Well, isn't the point of a vacation getaway to get to enjoy doing something that you don't normally get to do? For most of us, that might be hoping to see our favorite celebrities in the LA fishbowl. But don't you think the "fish" might be just as curious about what's on the other side of the proverbial glass once in a while? That's what my "date" (if you want to call it that) suggestion was based on; something that money can't buy and LA may not be able to offer- a little good old-fashioned flyover-land fun. And if Love reads these and likes the idea, I'm not hard to find. ;)
