Those of you who live in North America and want to help in some way to end world poverty, this is a small step. I want to share a way to help because I think people of Safesearching and fans of Alyssa would want to follow her example. She said that she wants people her age and younger to make their voice heard, so thats what I'm doing. Every little thing adds up. There is an organization called beadforlife which is a poverty eradication project in Yuganda. Maybe you've heard of it. Women in Yuganda handmake beads and then weave them into jewelry. I have 3 on my wrist right now. The money goes directly to help them. I know this isnt something most people want to hear about but we need to face the truth. Millions of people are desperately poor and suffering of illness or starvation. If you want to help you can go to beadforlife.com. Its simple and easy. Not every one can travel to Africa or India and help directly but small things like this really make a difference. You can buy their beads or send a donation. If not, well atleast I made you think about it. If you need inspiration, watch the video's of Alyssa in India. I did. "You must be the change you wish to see in the world" -Mahatma Gandhi

I was just wondering if you knew what percentage goes to the people, and what goes to administration costs?

I'm sorry I didn't answer your question sooner. I can state as a fact that 100% of their net profit is invested in community development projects for impoverished Ugandans. It is a volunteer organization so there are no administration costs.

(why make 'em work for it when you have it to give freely?)
because they want to work for a living, they don't want you to throw money at them

Luckily most of the rest of the world is not like that.
If you believe otherwise please explain The Lottery.

^^ well the lottery is...wait, thats people giving u money for FREE just coz u choose some random numbers. i understand how poverty stricken people may get a lil angry when people just GIVE them stuff because they feel sorry for them - they dont want people to think that they are pathetic. but most of them do understand that we just wanna help
