LOST fans???

who else here loves LOST??? It is SUCH a good show. My friends and I always have to discuss each episode afterwards... and have you been to thetailsection.com?? K2 sent me the link and they have fans there who have done seriously intense research on every clue we get. Like they've seriously analyzed the black light drawing on the back of that hatch door? If you haven't seen it - you have to check it out!
And how do you feel about the Jack/Kate relationship? Is there a Jate (Ha ha) fan base? Or are people into Kate/Sawyer? I love Sawyer. His one-liners kill me, and I want to see more of him. The Long Con was such a great episode. His "new sheriff in town" speech was so good. Not to say that I don't love Jack, because I DO! He totally rocks.
Admittedly, now I know how some Days fans must feel about Sami - because I CAN'T STAND Ana Lucia. argh! I HATE her. Not that I loved Shannon or anything, but seriously, K2 and I have debated at length the nasty, evil things that we hope will happen to Ana Lucia.

Who else here thinks it's been weird lately. Sometimes the survivors seem so selfish... like Hurley? Throwing all that food all over the jungle?? Uh, Hurley, Libby? Don't you think there are 45 other people out there on the beach that would love some ranch dressing? And I know Claire loves peanut butter! Don't just throw it away!!!
And then Rose? I used to love Rose. But it seemed awfully selfish to ask Bernard to not want to get rescued just for her. If you feel that strongly? Stay on the island! Get supplies brought to you! But don't decide for Claire and Aaron, Michael and Walt, and now Sun & Jin's(?) baby that they have to grow up on this island too. You know?? what's up with that?

Anyway, I'm glad to get the Lost disucssion going here... There is much more to discuss. What happened to the black smoke? And what killed the pilot? What do they do with the kids? What is the Dharma Initiative? Does Locke's button really mean anything???

Oh, yes I got hooked on LOST. Our own SafeSearching Mr. Mod Ryebeach got me hooked and made me go out and buy the first season. Saw it and started watching Season 2. Right after season 2 came on I had the flu (dying and barely moving or waking up flu) and forced myself to stay awake an hour to watch LOST. How pathetic am I ;) I'm a few eps behind but I'm hoping to get myself caught back up! Rye usually keeps me up to speed. I did see the advert for tailsection.com but I haven't checked it out yet. I know someone started an analysis on the SafeSearching Lost board. You may want to check it out:) Oh -Definitely Kate/Sawyer!!! :D

im hooked on lost now. i like kate with both jack and sawyer but it kinda seems like she'll eventually go with sawyer cuz theyre kinda similar, where they've both been bad. jack is always so good and that isnt her. sawyer is one of my fave characters. hes hot and sometimes a little mean. i was happy when he told jack when he saw his father in a bar in australia. thats only of the few good things he has done. ive been missing charlies little jokes. and i cant believe charlie joined forces, so to say with sawyer. i cant believe he hurt sun and scared everybody. now michael has showed up again. and i cant wait to see what happens.

LOST is such a great and intelligent show (Holla). I have watched it from the very start, but have to admit that I haven't study all the minutia so common with fans of the show. The mystery and discovery are the best parts (for me, anyway). I did go to the tailsection website to view the drawings blacklighted on the door. (?) Who do I like better? Sawyer, hands down. His smart alec comments and snarky sense of humor always make me laugh. I think your Sami/Ana Lucia comparison has merit. But just like I don't hate Sami, I don't hate Ana Lucia. She certainly did not intend on killing Shannon and her death was completely accidental. I think she carries with her that guilt as well as the doubt she must feel in her cop instincts for not discovering the spy in the tail-section camp. But as with all the people on the island, more will be revealed as time progresses. Afterall we only found out this week that Locke is not the only beneficiary of the healing powers of the island, but also Rose. How weird was the black smoke when it came face to face with Mr Ecko (don't you love that name) and just hovered? I always thought it was something bigger (certainly taller). When Locke encountered it, he was looking up and how did it get the pilot from the Oceanic flight up in the tree tops? I was thinking Predator (remember that movie?). I think more will be revealed about the children soon. What ever the experiment is, it has been going on for awhile. How sad was it when Danielle did not find her daughter at that lab? I am thinking the island is all some parallel universe. Why? Because of the Black Rock. The BR looks like a slaving ship which would indicate a passage of several decades. I will quit now before this becomes the worlds longest paragraph. I am just glad that it has been on a few weeks in a row, the strange repeating pattern has been a most frustrating aspect.

I love LOST, but I hate the constant playing of reruns inbetween such great new episodes...it really leave ya lost...I don't know but I don't really like Kate so I don't think she should be with either one....but that is just me. I think Ana Lucia and Jack will hook up at some point. I can't stand Ana Lucia either. I don't really like Jack either. Sawyer is just so hot...lol...it is good to hear from ya Ali!

i absolutely LOVE lost. i am heading to that other site next (re: lost) to check out the theories. i think something is totally weird. the things i have noticed are in the names- John Locke was a philosopher (1632-1704). Also Henry Gale is the name of Dorothys uncle in the wizard of Oz. i am sure that many people have also figured that out so i am interested in hearing what they have to say. but i am totally addicted to the show. it rocks!

Oh, I LOVE Lost! Everyweek there's a new mystery on that island... At the end of season 1, I couldn't stand the wait to find out what was in the hatch. Now there's so much more. I hope the season finale doesn't leave us with tons of questions!

But there's still so much to discuss!

Sometimes it seems like there's a logical explaination for things that happen on the island. The hatch for instance, could happen in real life. But then something like the smoke monster comes along. That's evil spirits working there.

Now that I think about, we haven't really met the Other, have we? Not a group of 'real other' anywho. How did Walk have access to a computer and where are the other kids being kept?

Oh and what was with that time the numbers on the computer flipped back to hieroglyphics?

For couples, I like Jack and Kate. But I think Sawyer and Kate would bring more comedy to the show. Then again, Sawyer's so... mean! Kate should be with someone nicer.

I just got into Lost this season. I want to go back and watch all the episodes. I agree about Hurley and the food. I was thinking about that myself. Why wouldn't he just leave it for everyone else? No one would have to know it was him, but like set it out at night or something. I kind of thought it was funny that all the food was dropped so soon after. lol.

I'm now caught up with the eps I missed! I was wondering about the Rose comment. Wow! Rose is really being selfish here. I always saw her as the mother figure. Shannon, I wasn't upset to see her go and Ana Lucia definitely has a shady side that I don't like. The black smoke is interesting and makes you really wonder about the island. I admit I was anticipating a T-rex or something:) Could the island be some sort of "Bermuda Triangle?" Perhaps some sort of energy from an ancient civilization? Could the "disguised" others be some kind of deranged psychological experimenters? What's the connection with taking the children? What will happen when they learn that Sun's expecting? I'm intrigued by the connection between Hurley and Libby. I just always want to give Hurley a big hug. Sure, he hid food but overeating is a disease and he did feel guilt and remorse for it. Kate and Sawyer are my vote for a couple though. I find it fascinating that Sawyer is so desperate for people to hate him. Why? Can't wait to see what Michael has to say when we finally see a new ep!!

I am SUCH a LOST fan!!! My whole family gets so excited Wednesday nights! I, too, am totally in agreement w/you all on the waisting of food thing and the Rose being selfish thing! Plus, what's up w/all the rest of the Losties? Why aren't they wanting to make a giant S.O.S. sign? It seems that would be the simplest of things to do.. it might be a lot of work physically, but I'D WANT TO BE RESCUED! They're becoming complacent.

I prefer Kate/Jack.. just because Sawyer reminds me of too many jack***** I've met before. :D It wouldn't last with either one of them anyway.

I have a theory that all of the Losties have an "Other" who has in some way or form led them to the island. For example, Libby? Maybe even Rose. I'm suspicious of her.

Henry Gale! OMG! He's my FAVORITE character now! He's the very essence of evil and I LOVE him!!!

Theories I've run across that I like.. the "whispers" having to do w/remote viewing.. the "black smoke monster" having to do w/magnetic particles in the air being controlled via a similar process to remote viewing.

What about Danielle? She's a whole mystery unto herself.

There is an "Ultimate Theory" out there that just totally rocked my world when I read it. I think some of it may have been discredited by now, but if you're interested, it's definately worth the read. I especially like the whole "Vanilla Sky" feel to said theory. I would attribute that to the plane crash, and to the flashbacks.

My only problem w/any of these Lost boards is the spoilers! I HATE accidently slipping onto a spoiler for Lost! I don't want to know! The fun is in the mystery and trying to figure it out yourself. Theories I don't mind, but don't give me spoilers! Days of Our Lives, on the other hand... I love a juicy Days spoiler!

I saw the first episode but that's it.
However, I didn't see that episode until the show had been on for a while (it was a rerun)...
Then I felt that I had missed too much of it to start watching it so I haven't. I was afraid I would be lost myself and not know what was going on or who was who... So I just haven't been watching.
I have a friend that records all the episodes, though, so perhaps she will let me borrow those tapes. That would be super neat!

Ali, I am so happy to hear you are also into one of the most amazing programs ever! Damon, Carlton and JJ are absolute masters for having designed such an amzing show. I love how everything is interconnected; how things you wouldn't even pick to be a clue could lead you down a long and complex part - truly amazing show.

Now I'm neither Jate, nor Katyer (??) - well to be honest, I'm both!! I love my Sawyer (he has the best one-liners) and the good doctor fits nicely into my good books as well!!! I'm obsessed ;)

The show keeps on getting better and better for me. I've been hooked since episode 1. The only part I am not liking is the whole Ana Lucia character - sometimes I just want someone to push her offscreen lol... she's not too bad, just something about her. Sad that the Shannon/Sayid relationship didn't progress as far as it should have.

Yay for all us LOST fans :)
