hey guys, just dropping in cuz i havent in a while! also wanted to share with you that i just completed a pilot for the CBC ( canada) and it was so great. it is a very different role for me and it was very challenging, which is why i loved it even more! basically it is the story of a girl ( moi..) who gets infected with a virus that has vampiric symptoms. so the pilot episode is all about her life falling apart as her health does, and then she finds out about her disease and struggles with the fact that she has to feed on blood in order to survive. this is no glam role people! it is all about the pale, greyish skin, bags under the eyes, scraggly hair. i loved it! how freeing! no news yet on an air date, but i will let you know as soon as i do. ;) on another note, i am getting all 4 of my wisdom teeth pulled on friday. oh my god!!!!! i have never even had a cavity so i am terrified! what if my face balloons! what if i get a bad infection! what if i never wake up! kidding............. lets just say i am not looking forward to it. well, maybe just for the famous "laughing gas"........ haha! xoxo

hi Karen,
Your pilot sounds positively grisly... way cool:cool:
I imagine a role such as that is the complete antithesis of material you are used to doing so that must be very freeing (like you said).
Almost sounds like a "journey" you're going to be going through with the character... I like that kind of storyline.

I look forward to hearing about the airdate and whether not not it will be aired in the US.

Good luck with the wisdom teeth.
I'm sure you'll be fine although you may be uncomfortable for a few days.
Might want to get a camera on you in the event you can use "the look" in future episodes.:D
Thanks for writing to us..
Always great to hear from you.:)

Wow. The pilot sounds great... an actual realistic vampirism story. I hope I can see it. I have to get my wisdom teeth pulled too.. But from what I've heard... Jell-O will never seem as important to you as it will after getting them pulled. :p Tasty.

Hi Karen,

Sounds like a great pilot with a cool storyline. Hope it airs in the US at some point. :) I had my wisdom teeth out when I was in 6th grade, a long, long time ago. I was nervous going in but it was a piece of cake and I'm sure, with today's technology, it's even quicker and easier than back then. Good luck and thanks for posting. :)

Well, anyway, don't worry!! That's just a bad moment to leave ^^ and see the good side of things: you could eat as many ice-cream as you want and your little Bryan will take care of you!!!!:D (and my brother is always aliiive! He's aliiive!!)
And if you don't wake up (that will not happen!!) i'll go to force the surgeon to do something to remedy to this:mad:!!

That's so cool to get any news about you and your carrier^^

And about the pilot, i love stories with vampires!!! I hope that France will permit us to see it and that it will be successful!!! I want to watch iiit >_<!!
Well, good luck, we're all with you, we will think about you friday, and we will cross our finger for everything went smoothly!!

The pilot sounds awesome! Cant wait to see it! I think it would kinda suck having a disease like that. As for the wisdom thing....OUCH!! Hope everything goes okay which I'm sure it will. I have to have all four of mine pulled too and not looking forward to it so know how ya feel on that. :( Good luck in all that! :D

Congrats on finishing the pilot, Karen! I hope they show it in the U.S., somehow-I'd really like to see it. Good luck with the dentist. I'm sure that you'll be fine.

Great to see you back here, Karen:D

Sounds like a pretty good show, this new pilot that you've just completed. Good "Gothic" type of show.....darkness, bit of horror....all that sort of stuff:D

One thing though.....this:

it is all about the pale, greyish skin, bags under the eyes, scraggly hair.

....sounds like the day after a heavy night on the town:p:D You might need that nitrous oxide (laughing gas) to get over the day's shoot as well, looking like that everytime you go back to your trailer:D

I'm sure it'll be awesome! I love vampire stuff :D

Good luck with the teeth! I am not too fond of the dentist either, but all my friends who had their wisdom teeth pulled said it wasn't too horribly bad. I'm sure you'll do fine.

Best wishes, love ya!

Ah, it can't be that bad. Personally I don't love the dentist either, and fortunatly I still have all 4 of my wisdom teeth....so far. But I have had a tooth pulled before and it's really not that bad. Amanda, my cousin, had all four of hers removed too but hers were impacted so they had to cut them out. She had some pain and her face did sort of resemble a chipmunk for a while, but they gave her lots of happy pills and she turned out relativly normal. ;) Best of luck my dear!
