Hmm...I'll give it a shot...once in awhile, I actually like remakes, LOL...and these are my favorites off the top of my head...sorry, no dates available.

1.The Thing
2. King Kong
3.The Fly
4. The Omen
5. Invasion of the Body Snatchers
6. Dracula-little seen version which starred Louis Jourdan and was the only version actually faithful to the novel and so was my favorite...I've enjoyed all the remakes of this story, though.
7. The Fog
8. A Christmas Carol-various versions too numerous to list, LOL...all were good.
9. The Ring
10. Dawn of the Dead

I guess technically you could count LOTR, since Ralph Bakshi made an animated version of the first half of the trilogy back in the seventies... but I think that's pushing it a little, lol, so I left it off.

Well just my luck Creature from the Black Lagoon was re made and will come out sometime in 2006
