Mindy and I saw this over the weekend. And from the number of mentions at this site, it looks like we are the only ones. ;) :D
We liked it, Owen Wilson is fun to watch and after all the comments about him, you get to wondering about which scenes he might have improvised! I found myself cringing when he started into something.
I did have a couple of issues;
I can only remember one other female having any screen time with a spoken line in the film. Kate Hudson isn't that shallow, is she?
The other issue, and it may just be me, Matt Dillon, while a fine actor in my eyes, is a little long in the tooth to portray a young newlywed. His character is also seems a little too "seasoned" to portray a fresh architect. And unfortunately, I didn't see a lot of chemistry between Kate and Matt. But I saw a lot between Kate and Owen.
But, you know what? It did have some good scenes that made me laugh, and the script didn't cheat. The good guys win in the end.
