Looks as though there may be some kind of delay on the release date for season one. No reason given as yet. Hopefullly it's just some minor problem like copyright clearances or the like. Here's where the report surfaced, this site is usually pretty accurate,

That's unfortunate and a little surprising, considering we're getting relatively close to the original release date. Could be copyright clearances like you mention. Hope they get it sorted out before we get too far into season 2. Thanks for the heads-up, 10thday.

Yeah just a guess since they must have these critters pressed to some extent. You'd think it's just some clearance problem, I doubt they'd change or add to what's been planned already. If they have extras that include psychics or mediums or others that are not CBS related they certainly have to have the rights paid for in advance?

Maybe they're waiting to release it in time for Halloween

That's a nice thought, delays can be strange. I'm sure we're not dealing with the problems PO5 DVD's have been facing year after year. They know it will sell well, the price is ridiculously high. Others series of this type are much more affordable, even Charmed's high price is better than Ghost Whisperer's retail price tag. I hate to think what they may charge for the blu-ray edition of GW.

Interesting thought. I guess I could understand them deciding to do that. If so, I just wonder why they made the change at this late date.

But remember the difference is that Charmed doesn't have Special Features like most of Paramounts shows on DVD but Ghost Whisperer does.

You are one smart individual, the re-scheduled release date is none other than Halloween, October 31st. Here's the update:
