Id rather that snake than a spider:eek: :o lol Still it is a VERY big and heavy looking guy
'Tis a BIG snake indeed - however, Lin looks like she is having fun, and from some of her posts, she seems to have a lot of respect and love for the little creatures :D
Aww, Amie - don't be afraid of spiders, they aren't so bad. It's killer coconuts that you have to watch out for :p:p:cool:

ok guys...just remeber...spiders, snakes, sharks, all the critters with "bad press," are much more afraid of us than we are of them! I think "man" is the only "creature" who kills things and/or people out of emotion or just plain stupidity! I think the bottom line? Have a "healthy respect" for things whose "habits" we don't really understand...and if it looks like "a dangerous situation", it probably is! Remember all the snakes we were dealing with on the film were "born in captivity" and are used to being around people and handled. You still need to be aware, and Jules the fabulous "daddy" to all these snakes was right there monitoring everything. The big snake??? I'm sure I'd be the first one to run the other way if I just "happened across" him!

I believe I do treat those creatures with respect, but I still steer clear of them if I can. We had a cat, Hitler, who brought a small snake home one day. He laid it(still alive) on the porch. I told Hitler he was a good boy & he did good with his catch & then I told my husband to get rid of the snake.

I agree...! If your husband hadn't "removed the snake"...Hitler probably would have! It's amazing how much reaction the topic of snakes creates...Not many people are "blase" when it comes to the topic..! They either love them, hate them, are afraid of them, etc. I was horse back riding once with a bunch of other people...all of a sudden the horses started acting strange...they started to rear, wouldn't go forward, and suddenly we heard the rattle...there was a big rattle snake not far from our path...we turned around and went the other way...fast...or shall I say, THE HORSES turned around and went the other way fast!!we did not have to urge them on that's for sure...they were off snorting and prancing in the other direction as fast as they could go!

Just goes to show that horses have more "horse sense" then humans do sometimes. (Sorry):D

I will have to get a picture or two of my horse to post! (that is not the one who saw the reattle snake though) :D I have 2 border collies, Lazar and Molly, a stray kitty named Mr. Wink (sometimes Mr. Fatso, but lately, he has "slimed down") and my horse Poco. Poco doesn't live with me. I have him at the L.A. Equestrian Center, but he is my "baby" and a hoot. He actually is a 16 year old blue roan Appolousa. I took him to the park today, and he freaked out and was acting like a 1 year old...bucking and shorting, kicking out and having quite a time! I actually love it when he is like that, although my trainer cringes!:D :p

Yes the ones in my banner are just a few of my 12 cats & 5 dogs. I need too many banners to show them all. I look forward to seeing your fur babies really soon.

Lin, they all sound adorable!! I have a little puppy, Toey, who is a gorgeous white maltese x silky - she's a cutie. I also had until earlier this year a big German Shepherd, TJ. I miss her.
When I was younger, we lived on acreage, so we had a menagerie of pets. I remember having frogs; they seemed to be endlessly breeding! At our first farm, our neighbour Dave bred horses, and my sister and I were little girls, so Dave named some of the newborns after us. The next farm, my dad owned some horses, so it was always a blast ;)
Can't wait to see some piccys!
Take care,
Zoeeeee
