Well i was 13 when i got my first job and 14 when i started getting more hours and making more money yes it was great at the time but when it come to leaving school and thinking about collage i just wanted to go full time for the money. Now im 26 and suck in a dead end job that i dont like and have no chance of getting anything better. So i would say stick to college and study so when you do get a job its one that you want not need.

Nothing is wrong with getting a part time job at the weekend, but meet him half way and say that you will work either Saturday or Sunday, no more, because you need some time to yourself and for study. Put college first, but like I said, there's no harm in getting part time work. Atleast that way you can show that you are willing but you're not going to overwork yourself. I think most colleges also recommend if you're there full time that you do no more than 10 hours work a week otherwise it gets in the way of study etc...

Well then you can't do anymore until they have something. You've been to look, and nothing was there so it's not exactly your fault and he doesn't have the right to blame it on you or take it out on you.

Maybe just get a seasonal job, so that you dont work during the college year :) you could work all summer and then have the rest of the year to focus on college.

Can I ask what your dad does for work? It seems he has an awful lot of time to tell you to get a job, I wonder if he has one of his own.

Forget the job. If you are at college full time, you deserve weekends off. College will give you a better education, which in turn will give you a better job.;)

If you are doing nothing but study and work, you are likely to get stressed out, and depressed. Tell your dad to back off and leave you alone.
I think he is being very selfish about this.

Its not that bad provided your family have no financial problems n u can cope with your studies. On the bright side you will have job experience which may help u in the future..

Do you live anywhere near a supermarket? I know around here Tesco has alot of job offers and VERY flexible hours, you can practically choose what you want :) Try somewhere like that :)

Yes, you do, but if you are at College full time, the last thing you need is a job. You need time off on weekends. You shouldn't be working all the time.
