If I'm limited for pics, but I have just one, I'll build a banner around that one pic. Making your own backgrounds helps that along most of the time.

not to be rude or anything, but i noticed u usually only use one pic 4 banners.....i think u take great pride in making your own background from nothing...its like a piece of art ;)

A lot of the time I actually only have 1 pic that I think is right for the banner...thats why. And other times, the pics that are being put together just don't go. I don't have to worry about stuff like that in banner challenges, because most of the time, more than 1 pic from a specific photoshoot is provided. It's hard to find stuff like that for bands I listen to, but generally I would like to use 2 pics of a person on a banner and not just one. Although I do like using just one when needed ;).

yeah its a great idea.. sometimes i have trouble finding pics, especially when the site i normally use is down.

The thing about using one picture.. its when people ask me to make a banner i have the most trouble.. because they often pic the ones they like that arent from the same shoot, or episode etc, and its difficult to blend them. Not that im complaining, i love doing it :)

An idea I had about putting pics together that didn't actually go was to not blend the pics themselves. Cut out the people, seperate them on the banner, then create a background, and change parts of the background to match the person in the foreground. It worked quite nicely for me, but I didn't save the banner to show it :rolleyes:.

Lol ^^. Hey bill, see if you can put this to good use, I made it such a long time ago I don't actually remember what for...

Heres a tip, put a new layer on top of that, then with your paintbrush, paint the top layer all differeint colours, then with that blending mode thing, just change it to something that looks good. And that should project the colours onto the layer underneath, which would be that pic I posted ;).

ok peoples...i think EVERY site we link to in here will somehow violate an SS rule (im not complaining, i think i have an idea though)...so from now on, if you need a picture or pictures of someone, make a post about it in here asking so, and if anyone has a link to any, PM them to the person, ok? or if you have any of anyone, make a post saying that you do and if anyone wants the link they can PM you....:) hope this works out :D

Good job, but I think this is the wrong place to post them. This thread is for sharing images that can be used to make banners... You could always copy everything you've just posted and create a new thread in the main banners board section, then paste them back in. But people will let it slide this time. Just so you know though, for future reference, banners posted are to be posted here:

Only reason I'm telling you this is because if you want people to see what you make, you've got a better chance of them seeing it from the link above. This area of the banners board is usually fairly quiet ;).
