alright!i have answered the questions in the order posed... 1) fav role i would have to say is in SUMMER, an indie film done in montreal, and everyone involved was so devoted despite the very low budget! i loved playing steph, she was a tomboy, struggling actress and i thought the writing was just great and witty. on karencliche.net you can view parts of it there! 2) comedies or drama? well, i have to say i am a sucker for a good laugh , and love to make others laugh so i am pretty partial to comedies, and since it has been a while since i have done one, i would have to say that a comedy would be next on my list! but dramas are great therapy! you get to reach into the depths of you experiences, painful and all, and release everything. it is also a "safe" place to do so, since you are playing someone else! basically it all comes down to what touches people, what motivates them , what makes you think. i love that. i love being inspired myself, so if i can reach someone, that makes my job all the more justified! 3)what i do on my free time, hmmm, pretty boring most of the time. i love hangin with rudy and gottfried, my cats, , cooking, i love good wines, and reading. love being outdoors with my man, traveling. i collect teapots! what else... well i am truly an activist at heart and in life, so a lot of my spare time is devoted to reading up on my amnesty intl news, and putting together my 10 yrs worth of articles i have gathered on child prostitution and sexual slavery in the 3rd world, in future hopes of starting a foundation that helps fight against this horrific crime against humanity. ( please feel free to talk to me about this, it has ben a passion and goal of mine for most of my life) i also sponsor 2 girls with world vision in thailand and phillippines. on my site i will post more info on this soon! phew, sorry, i got sidetracked , but this is what i REALLY want to do with my life, so forgive my passionate outbursts!!! let me continue on another post, i am afraid to run out of room! /images/graemlins/wink.gif

Hi Karen,
You're the best.

Don't worry about running out of room. I think these posts can go on for a couple of pages. I think you'd really shine in a romantic-comedy.
I admire the passion and dedication you have for the cause you've chosen to champion. It is indeed a terrible crime and a Human rights violation that many groups around the world have been struggling to bring to the general public's attention. They are fighting against greed, goverment corruption within the countries in which this sick "industry" thrives, and easy "product" accessability. I often think about corperations who go overseas to hire cheaper labor to make their products and how (maybe because of the child labor laws of this country) no one seems concerned about who is working in their factories and under what conditions. Many of the workers in these NAFTA sponsered swet-shops are abused women and children working for mere pennies a day with no hope at all of ever seeing a better life. It's something the media should really be looking at. Forget Janet Jackson. There are more important things going on in the world.

Thanks for answering our questions.

hey karen and everyone,
I just recently stumbled upon this site, so i hope you guys all see this post. If you would like to know more on the treatment of children and women, in third world countries, I highly recommend the book, “Thunder from the east” it’s a book written by a husband wife team, on life in the Asia pacific. It is well written and uses personal experiences to highlight many important issues. Give it a try, and I guarantee that you will come away much more informed.
