Happy Fall, Lin!!!

Hi Lin!!:) It is officially Fall now. I decorated yesterday w/scarecrows, pumpkins, mums and wreaths. Do you do any Fall decorating? I just love the change in seasons. You can really feel the nip in the air here in TN. It is just the right temp for me,lol.:D I hope all is well w/you Lin. Sorry I haven't posted on your board in a while. I had a yard sale last weekend. I over did it and I've been down in my back.:o I'm doing much better now.;) Take care!! I hope to catch you online soon.

Hi Angela!
Thanks for the greetings! All is well, and even here in "sunny California" there are changes in the air. This is my "birth season"...yes, I AM a Libra...! and it always makes me think of where I grew up which was Detroit Michigan. The days would be shorter, the sounds of people raking up the big Oak and Elm leaves, the smell of burning them along the curb, and the lamps going on in peoples livingrooms at about 5pm as the dusk would come. My Dad would sometimes come home early from work, and I would sit on his lap while he read the paper. So it is a season full of lovely memories. I did used to trick or treat on Holloween too!, I found a picture of myself dressed up as a "flapper". I wore a sailor's hat I had, opened up and pulled down over my forhead, like a "cloche" hat from the 20's, and I remember wearing a very red lipstick of my moms and drawing lower eyelashes, so I looked like I was wearing false ones. It all seems like a dream sometime. I feel very fortunate to have these memories. ;)

I miss getting to dress up and go trick-or-treating,lol. Those were the days. Now I just enjoy seeing my 9 yr old niece. She always looks so cute on Halloween. The time will be changing next month. It is already getting dark sooner. I bet you looked cute as a flapper. I remember the last time I went trick-or-treating my Mom dressed me up as a clown. On my head she put on of her old swim caps. I looked hilarious.:p If I can find the picture I'll post it so you can see it.;) Thanks for posting back to me so soon. You are the best!!

Dear Angela...
I just keep hoping we all meet someday! It is still somewhat strange to share "yourself" with people you don't know at all!...but it is interesting how much you do get to know about people by what they write and how they express themselves! I am really enjoying this experience!...
Enjoy the beautiful fall days...I am. There is a moon outside that I can see tonight, and I sat with my kittens alone, in the dark in my office where "they stay," for a long time. I felt like I got to know them better tonight. Sitting in the dark with no other stimulation, they climbed all over me. I was lying on the floor with them, and one climbed up and settled on my back, and started kissing me...everything was really peaceful, and I felt so connected to their little selves. I do love my animals...;)

As your days get shorter and cooler, mine get warmer and longer. The weather here has been wonderful, and on Saturday I was even at the beach!! Yay for the warmer weather :)

It sounds like you had a relaxing evening with the kittens... very peaceful and enjoyable :D They must be lots of fun.

Well, all of my exams are over, and I'm exhausted but happy!! So I will see you a little later. I need some rest LOL.

I remember when I first moved to Georgia from New York ...There were times I was homesick and i would talk with friends and when I'd say i was looking up at the moon they would do the same.... it kind of make the world seem samaller and us seem closer...

You can tell a lot about a person by the way they love their pets and their pets love them. The vision of you snuggling with your kitties warms my heart and makes me appreciate you even more.
How lucky we all are to have crossed each other's paths...
Maybe one night we will agree to all look out onto the moon at the same time and it'll seem like we are right next to each other...

Hi Lin!:) I can just picture you all snuggled up w/your kitties. I snuggle w/my puppies too. Our animals love us know matter what. Their love is sooo unconditional. And, the loyalty is wonderful too.

I know what you mean about getting to know someone thru posting on the boards,lol. It was strange to me in the beginning too.;) I've made some really great friends on SS.

I just reconnected to a very old friend who lives in Northern California. She is an expert on QUILTS... historically...it's a long soulful story, what part she played in my life many years ago in San Francisco, :D ;) but it brought up about "old friends and new friends" and how life changes and offers up new things all the time, while the old connections are what drive us forward. Life is wonderful. xo Lin

Yay, I can't believe you sang me happy birthday - yay :D As you can see I am more than happy and excited. It's not even lunchtime yet, so I have a good.... 16-17 hours left of my day yet (well early morning tomorrow as well :p).
