welllllllll....I never have been in a TV commercial. I had a commercial agent for a while, but to tell you the truth, it has never been something I have "aspired to," or been interested in doing, unless it was for something really great. Most of the stuff you audition for is pretty stupid in my opinion, and are not "products" I would like to put my face on! So, I never renewed my contract and that was that! :p

Ahh, Lin I really respect you for that too. If you don't believe in the product you shouldn't endorse it.;) I think I love you more every day!!!:D As Bill says, "You rock"!:p

Yay :D Group hug ;)

I was just thinking about people who do commercials the other day, and I look at 95% of commercials and think, 'I just couldn't be in that'. It's so great to hear that you have stuck to your beliefs and not filmed something for a product/service that you don't believe in :)

you guys!
Had a busy couple of days...auditions, my son just went back to school, kitten tush problems...aka vet visits, running around in general,....All is well. A couple of auditions, one for CSI that I really wanted, but I was supposed to have a 50 year old son!! (Mine is 17, thank you very much...!) I am sure they see me for those rolls because of Magda, but if they want a 70 year old woman...there are tons who are dying to work right here in Hollywood! It is always disappointing to "not get the job", but that is a part of the whole deal! This CSI starred Roger Daltry (form the "WHO"...) I WOULD HAVE LOVED TO HAVE WORKED WITH AND MET HIM!!...But onward.
I had another one today for a pilot, but the character was also "older." I always GO FOR IT and do my "work" and bring in my creativity and ideas, but that is not always enough. WE will see what happens with this one.
I have another audition for a horror film that shoots in Prague, on Monday. Not a very good script though, and they will really have "to make it worth my while" to leave for Prague for a few weeks. Life here is so busy, and I really do not want to leave my son (especially go out of the country) right now, unless it is for something really wonderful. It is his last year at home, and I truly want to be around if I can. The "routine jobs" will always be there, and my son is obviously a BIG priority in my life now, and always.
Have a great week end. I am going to enjoy just "hanging out.!":D :p

Good morning POOOOOOh/flam////etc. etc.!
Yes, I would also love to go to Prague. I am just not sure this is the right situation...of course I still haven't "met" the people, auditioned, OR been offered the job! So we will see when all the ingredients are assembled. It is always hard for me to say "no" to work, as I always have so much fun...even in tough situations. If this was shooting here, I wouldn't think twice about doing it, if they offered it to me...but leaving the country with all the responsibilities I have right now, might be tough unless they offer me lots of money, and it is not for longer than 2 weeks or so. I will keep you posted! Lin aka Linizzzzle/shizzzle:D :D

If you need to send some critters off to "camp," we're on about 2 acres here in Colorado. The fur kids think EVERYONE lives on at least a mini-ranch :) We just picked up our 13-year-old dog, Rosie, from the vet's. She had a mandibulectomy to remove a cancerous growth on her lower lip/teeth/jaw so she looks a little funny. However, I'm sure your fur kids wouldn't laugh at her - not too much anyway (she does look kind of funny with her new overbite).

Plenty of camp activities too: patrol the mini-ranch, bark at the people riding their horses, going to the dog park and finding the mud hole, futon-ing at the end of a long hard day.

Wow, Lin  You have been busy!

That's such a shame that you didn't get the CSI part; I love that show. However, I did wonder what the casting people were thinking when they gave Kevin Federline a guest spot on the show :p Think positively, and you never know what may happen in the future!!

It's great that no matter what character type you are going for, that you just GO FOR IT!! You have an amazing energy, work ethic and genuine love for acting. I am sure that shines through in all of your auditions!

You sound like such a great mum, Linizzle (I had to say that, blame Bill :p). Your son must be so proud of you, and you sound like a great team. I feel like a second mum to my little brother (he just turned 2), and leaving him for school everyday is so hard. I can't imagine what it'll be like in the future being a mother ;) So I hope the 'Prague' people make it really worth your while if they want you out there. Come what may :)

Have a great weekend hanging out, and just enjoy yourself. Relax!!

you guys!

Carol...! Forget the critters! It sounds like I should send them to Prague, and I SHOULD COME TO YOUR RANCH! It sounds wonderful...and I am sure all are in a continual state of bliss, no matter what the day brings. Your 'ol doggie sounds wonderful, and these guys really do seem to know when "you are helping them."
Zoeeeee, thank you for all the sweet things you said about my work. It all does mean so much to me. I feel so blessed that when I am not working I have such a full and wonderful time...my son, "all the furballs" (that includes my 2 dogs" and my beautiful home and friends. But I am really wondering what the next "acting" adventure will be. I will of course, keep you all posted. Looking forward to the week ahead! xo Lin :D

I'm back from my little break :) I did miss you all and the boards!! I was driving around in maniacal Sydney traffic  I had no near misses though, which is great news!! My mum keeps telling me I'm a good driver, which is nice to hear. She was a brilliant teacher!

Lin, I'm glad I can provide some kind words that mean a lot to you. Everything I say is true though, and you remember that. We love you dearly!

I'm getting ready to go out on the town tonight lol ;) The boys are taking me out to my favourite Chinese restaurant for dinner, and then we are going driving! Should be lots of fun, and as I'm the only girl, plenty of attention from my 3 best friends (who happen to be guys lol.. but I love them, and they love me) :)

I'm sorry you didn't get the CSI job, it's one of my very favourite shows, especially the Vegas one (Carol (CeeHayCee) her husband Tim, Saruzza and I went to Vegas in 2004 after Love Ride and it has a very special place in my heart :)) and to meet and work with Roger Daltry would have been absolutely amazing!! He still sings as good as he did in the 60's too.

I have another audition for a horror film that shoots in Prague, on Monday. Not a very good script though, and they will really have "to make it worth my while" to leave for Prague for a few weeks.

Lots of horror movies seem to be filmed in in Prague and eastern Europe, these days. Prague is a magical city with some really beautiful buildings which completely lend themselves to the genre. They used to film lots of horror movies here but I think the UK has priced itself out of the market :(

I really do not want to leave my son (especially go out of the country) right now, unless it is for something really wonderful. It is his last year at home, and I truly want to be around if I can.

I know how you feel and you're absolutely right - both my daughters are grown up (20 and 24) and I'm very glad I was at home with them rather than working my socks off - I'm doing that now instead :D

*reddogg totters off singing "Substitute" at the top of her voice* ;)

That is "the way of the world" as an actress...no matter how big or small, there always seem to be roles that "you don't get," for one reason or another. The audition for the "Prague" film went pretty well. I don't feel it "sparkled," but I also am not sure that I am "physically" what they are looking for...she is described as "robust," while I am pretty "slight" in physique...but I know they all know my work, and so it will be about that as well. It may not all be based on "the audition." Sometimes you do an amazing audition, and you don't get the job, and sometimes you do a "fair" one, and the job is yours! Go figure!....just like life!....So for me, I love working so much, I know the next one will come...
Glad you are back Zoeeee! I took my son driving a couple of days ago, and almost had a heat attack...over a "left turn," where a maniac was driving toward us, and was NOT slowing up, while Lee was trying to "beat the light." Sooooooo....I just paid for 10 more driving lessons for him!!! I figure that is cheaper than something "not good" happening! I know he just needs the practice! yikes.....

Hey LIN!!!
That happens here with our right hand turns (driving on the opposite side of the road LOL). I see crazy people have near misses all the time. When I was learning, there were probably some scary moments in the beginning. My dad gave me 10 proper lessons to learn in the manual when I first started out, so I spread them out over the year :) It helped a lot! Lee just needs plenty of practice :)

I'm off to France in a couple of weeks so I'll be driving on the 'wrong' side of the road - look out you French, I say :D It's the roundabouts I have a problem with, my brain doesn't compute 'Look Left' :D
