Due to the increasing popularity of Vick's fashion show and the wonderful pictures we're finding here and there of Lin out and about, a new board, just for pictures, seemed like a good idea.

The board is for pictures of Lin, and things associated with her work, life, pets. I don't think we have any problems with funny pictures, Vick's fashion shows, etc, but please remember that personal pictures of you guys have to be kept to PMs, for your safety.

thats the one i read....and it states, while SS frowns upon it, that you can if you are over 18...and even if you are under 18 and go through some steps you can post them, thats why i am confused....

Bill it is stating that if you are over 18, we can not stop you from posting a personal picture of yourself but if you do you are doing it at your own risk. If you are under 18, it will be removed.

yes, i know that part :p...but i am 24....and my pics were removed from the banner board.....because we are not supposed to post personal pics here for our own safety? that was the reason for my edited post....i am so cunfuzzled now :S

There may be confusion because the policy was changed in the not too distant past. Before the change, our policy was that, again for members safety, no personal photos be posted by members, regardless of age. The policy was then amended to as it is now. As Reesa said, while we don't recommend members post personal photos for safety reasons, if members are over the age of 18 and still wish to post personal photos, they may do so, knowing they are posting them at their own risk.

Since you're over 18 and so long as you understand that you're posting them at your own risk, and the photos comply with the rest of our posting policies, there shouldn't be a problem.

I check the site policies regularly, but I missed the update, so Rye was very kind to update me earlier today on the changes. Normally when I am here, I rush through everything at a million miles an hour, but now that I'm up to date with the Picture Posting Policies, I won't be editing those posts. Bill, I do apologise for that. These things happen :)

However, like Rye said, we highly recommend that you don't post personal images if you are over 18, yet if you wish too, you may do so. Just be careful guys, that you don't give out pictures and a lot of personal information as well. Get informed and make choices that will keep you safe on the net. Use your best judgement and do what you feel comfortable with :)
