View Full Version : Lin So sorry to hear...
Lin,
I've been unable to be on the boards for a while but i just read that Your wonderful friend and companion "Mr. Wink" passed away.
I am so sorry to hear that happened.
I know that you expected it but that doesn't make it any easier.
Again I am sorry for your loss.
Our pets are such an important part of our lives... they fill that whole that no one else seems to be able to fill sometimes...
He knew how much you loved him...
And when it is all said and done....
That is the only thing that matters in life.
Always in my thoughts,
Vicky

Lin,
I'm so sorry to hear that Mr. Wink has passed away. As others have said, he knew how much you loved him and I'm sure he enjoyed all of the time he was able to spend with you and your family.
Thinking of you,

I'm so sorry to hear of Mr. Wink's passing, it's unbelievably painful when a beloved pet dies but we can be safe in the knowledge that we gave them a happy life and always remember the happy times :)

Lin I'm sorry about the passing of Mr. Wink. At least you know you gave him love & comfort the last few weeks of his life. I have always found the following to bring comfort to me when I've lost a pet. I originally saw it in Ann Landers & my vet has given me several wallet copies.
JUST THIS SIDE OF HEAVEN IS A PLACE CALLED RAINBOW BRIDGE.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food and water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigar; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remembered them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind...
They all play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. The bright eyes are intent; the eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to break away from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. YOU have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart. Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together...

Thanks all of you. I didn't really want to post anything formal about it, and it just came up when I saw the picture of the cutie "black and white" on the boards the other day. It was a very "ceremonial" moment for me, and truly life changing in some ways, as I had never seen anything die...He died in my arms Thanksgiving morning. We have so many pet "moms and dads" on our board, so I so appreciate all of your thoughts and sweetness. The two kitten brothers are getting fluffier and bigger and bigger, and certainly joined my family at the perfect time.

I'm so sorry to hear about Mr. Wink. So many of us go through the sadness of losing our pet family members too soon, but I know that Mr. Wink's life was special because he was loved.

aww :( im so sorry to hear this Lin....
Lin, I hope that all of the kind words that everyone has left will give you some comfort and support. I hope that each day brings a little less pain, but also remembrance for the loving ball of fur that was such an important part of your family.
Love and hugs, dear friend.
