I've been such a huge fan of Ali and her character Sami since I started watching the show over 20 years ago (or since she's been on the show, anyway). She is truly one of my favorites, even during the "bad days!" I was so excited to finally see her turn a new leaf, even if she can't be perfect, at least she outgrew some of her bad qualities. I have always adored Lucas for loving her no matter what, taking the good with the bad, and I was thrilled that she decided to never lie to him again..... THEN STRIKES E.J. WELLS!

I for one, think that Sami should tell Lucas up front exactly what happened, so it doesn't come out later on to bite her in the butt, yet again. How many times has Lucas told her to trust in their love? And how many times has she told him that she would do anything for him. I think this is soooo much different than cheating on him, and I would hope that he would take his anger out on EJ for hurting the woman he loves, rather than take his anger out on her when she felt she had no choice.

Furthermore, I would like to actually see a couple work through tragedy together for once. Unfortunately, this is a common situation that happens in real life, and a husband and wife usually face this together. It will either make them or break them, and many men have to deal with a who's-the-daddy situation at times like these. I think it would bring such a new dynamic to their relationship to face this adversity head on, and I can easily see them as our next super couple! (They already are, in my eyes.) I can see where she's scared, because Lucas has deserted her before, but he always comes back, because he can't deny his love for her. It would be an opportunity for them both to prove themselves to each other, and dare I say, even STRENGTHEN their relationship.

Does anyone agree with this? I have written two e-mails and sent a hard copy of a (more detailed) letter to Hogan Sheffer, expressing my feelings and points regarding this matter, and I would just love to know if he even got them! Does anyone know if Ali reads all of our posts? That would be cool if she liked the idea, then she could tell Hogan! Wouldn't that be a nice change for Sami and Lucas? Not to mention, I'd love to see the look on Kate's face when she "exposes" Sami, and then finds out that Lucas already knew about it! SWEET!:D

Well, obviously, it would be better for sami to tell lucas the truth. Then again, It is ALWAYS better for sami to tell the truth. The only difference this time, is that sami is now the victim and not the villian.
But as things are, sami can't bring herself to tell him the truth. She just doesnt trust him enough to stay with her...:(

IMO, if there is anything that the script can do for LUMI right now, it's work on their trust issues. \=

I completely agree. I wish Sami would tell Lucas the truth, but I'm not sure that she will. I would also like to see Lucas figure it out himself and confront her (gently) about it, then of course, stand by her.

I definitely think Sami should tell Lucas the truth but I also think that she's rationalizing this just as any other rape victim would. She's scared, she's afraid he'll leave her, she feels almost like she cheated, and probably blames herself. If Sami had run right to him with the truth, I definitely would have raised a brow. In the end I'd like to see Lucas find out and save her from EJ. Someone definitely needs to wipe that smug taunting expression off the guys face. I'm sick of him rubbing the rape in. Talk about salt in the wounds.

Oh my gosh, I, too, am so tired of that smirk of his! And did you ever notice how EJ is everywhere- all the time?! That drives me crazy! He just be-bops around Salem like he's some kind of magic genie that just has to blink and eye to transport himself wherever he wants to go! What a pain! I just hope that, sigh, no one sees Sami kissing Ej and takes it the wrong way. I hate when the show is predictable that way. Hopefully Hogan Sheffer will take that into consideration, and maybe surprise us. I feel so sorry for the predicament that Sami is in right now, and I think Ali portrays it beautifully. I just love her!!!! (I would like to see her happy for once, though. She's just as good at laughing as she is at crying!)
