For those of you who have bashed me and my posts saying bad things about me when I'm not here to defend myself, I put my opinion on here for others to give their opinion on the topic. I personally don't care if anyone likes me. I just ask that I be treated like any other human being here. I guess I'm not much of a debater but I do have opinions and the right to those opinions. I also have feelings and the right to be respected whether or not you agree or disagree with me. None of us are up for an election here so lets stop the mud-slinging ok? This post was put here to talk about in a dignified manner. So now I give the rest of you the floor...

Oh, one more thing Celestial Angel, Thank you for looking out for me even if we do have a difference of opinion. I appreciated it. :)

Don't worry, Uncle Bob! This area is aptly called "Your Point of View", so this is where we all get to voice our own opinions. Nobody may bash you for that, and all opinions are most welcome just as long as the way they are posted does not contravene any of the rules of the boards overall.

I believe that diversity of opinion and the freedom to express it helps to keep us balanced as a society, lest we all believe the same things and end up veering off into bizarity. ;)

People are of course welcome to disagree with opinions, state their own, and to argue points in civilized discussion. It's all really just a matter of respect. :cool:

The story wasn't even written by Paul Harvey (as the article claimed), yet when confronted with the facts, there's not a peep from your corner. If your going to post, at least have the guts to stand your ground and make your case with facts, or admit that you were wrong, it's really that simple. I'm not going to let you slide when you post lies. All that was on your mind was bashing Hillary, so let's not play the victim here.

Bottom line, if you're going to post an article, provide a link so the discerning reader of the post can see if it's for real or not.

Whether or not you're a good debater is neither here nor there. The fact that you don't care whether or not you post real stories vs. gossip is far more disturbing. This is a political forum on Safesearching, not the National Enquirer forum.

This is true, Astroman, one should give credit to any snippet of an article quoted in fair use.

But there's one thing that stands here which no moderator here will budge on is friendliness & respect (in particular the lack thereof). And especially in a debate forum, where things can very easily get very heated, and while heated debate can be healthy the rule of thumb is to keep things friendly, and we're a friendly bunch here at these forums. Of course, any truly objectionable posts may be reported to the relevant moderator who will take the appropriate action.

So I'm sure yourself and Bob can work out something here - you're a decent person, Bob's a decent person... so I don't see any reason why two decent people can't.

Would you both be willing to give it a try? Bob, meet Astroman. Astroman, meet Bob.
I'll keep an eye on this thread to see how we're doing. ;)
