LUMI Wedding:Day 2

Yay! I can gush about the montage now! I absolutely thought it was the perfect culmination for these two! Another big thanks to Ali for getting the "LUMI Holy Grail" Hopscotch scenes in there! The song was beautiful. I'd love to hear more by them.

I thought it was great that Roman was going to go after EJ. About time he does something fatherly! You could see Lucas tensing to go get him;) So glad to FINALLY see Mr. and Mrs. Roberts! Everything was so sweet. I LOVE Celtic music and Sami getting to dance with her Daddy was touching. I admit I did finally get a little misty when we saw the montage. I want to say more about Kate and EJ but I will refrain until tomorrows episode for those who are non-spoiled!

I LOVED the montage! I got a little misty eyed also. I missed the first day and did not realize Soapnet doesn't show it in the morning anymore, to say I was a bit upset is putting it mildly. I did see them say I do and that was fantastic for me. Todays wedding scenes were great. the one thing about the episode that bothers me is all the crapola going on. That is for a different thread though cuz this is to show LUMI some love. I thought Ali and Bryan did a fantastic job and I cannot wait to see what else is going to happen this week.

The montage was perfection. I didn't dare hope that we'd actually get one because the show doesn't seem to be that fond of doing them anymore, but if any couple truly deserved one it's Sami & Lucas. The clips chosen were awesome and that song was beautiful. Well done Days!

So, my dad sent out an email to everyone in my family inviting them to watch Sami's 10th wedding. how cute is that?? As a result, my inbox was overflowing with emails from my extended family "congratulating" me and extending their felicitations to the happy couple. lol. Also, my mom's email made me choke up:
Hi Ali: Miss you guys. I just have to tell you what a terrific job
you did today and yesterday on your show. It is very tough for me to watch because I get too emotional and too involved worrying about your problems. You look so so sooooo beautiful. Wow. Love, MD
(my mom signs her emails "MD" meaning 'Mommy Dearest' - quoting movies is a family trait... my brothers and I always used to tease her when we were kids about the Joan Crawford movie "I said NO WIRE HANGERS!!!". lol - The Sweeney's all have a quirky sense of humor, I guess)

Anyway, my parents have always been really supportive of me and my career, but they don't really follow Days regularly (and let's face it, with some of the more 'romantic' scenes we do from time to time, I prefer not to think of my family watching!!! :eek: ) So, it meant so much to me that they all tuned in to support!!!

I have to say that the wedding gown was absolutely stunning on you Ali. I really enjoyed the montage. Some of the scenes I had forgotten, it brought back a lot of memories. I can't wait to see what happens tomorrow :)

Ali, thank you so much for getting the hopscotch scene in. You know how much that means to us.

The wedding was just beautiful and a wonderful ending to the Lucas Roberts and Sami Brady courtship and a wonderful beginning to Mr. and Mrs. Roberts' new life together. Bring on the obstacles because Lumi can overcome ANYTHING thrown in their path.

This whole week has been amazing. Not only was the wedding visually stunning but there have been so many wonderful, heartfelt scenes...and drama! I feel DAYS should submit this May 9th to the Emmys for best drama consideration. Ali, please pass on congrats to the entire cast, crew, writers etc.

I love all the wedding scenes, and the montage was the icing on the cake (the wedding cake that is). It was so touching to see all the special Lumi moments from the past. I think that the writers and the whole cast has really outdone themselves with this wedding week.
As for the whole Sweeney family having a quirky sence of humor. I think quirky is better than Normal (makes life more interesting);)

LOL Ali, my mom and I used to joke about Mommy Dearest too! The whole no wire hangers thing .. how funny, and her maiden name is Sweeney, so hmmm... lol:cool:
Congrats again on a fantastic job and looking the most beautiful you ever have in a wedding gown (and that's saying something! ;) )

That e-mail's sweet! My family has always done the "No more wire hangers!!!" bit too! How funny is that! I guess we're quirky too. I often reply "Yes, Mommy Dearest!" :)

I don't blame you one bit! If I had a job doing those romance scenes I'd be a bit gunshy about my mom and dad seeing them too! If the family ever was going to tune in, now's the time! I bet mom really appreciated the spring fling to now photo. How fast we grow up, huh? If only my awkward 16 year old photo was so good LOL.

Hey Ali,
That was a cute email your mom sent. I still don't recall that hopscotch scene. It was so cute. Loved the skating scene too. You and Bry looked so young. I'm enjoying all those pictures they have of Lumi all over the apartment.

Wish you could be in Greenville, SC this year, but Bry will have to do..ha ha

I thought it was cool that the Lumi wedding was aired on my birthday(May 9th).
