I really have to thank everyone for all the wonderful, positive posts about the Lumi wedding this week. A lot of hard work went into making it all happen, across the board in Salem, and I'm so glad it paid off with the fans enjoying the scenes!

Everyone at work is freaking out over the awesome chocolate mint wedding favors that Second Chances sent to the set. Of course, I felt 'obligated' to taste-test them, before handing them out. (lol) But seriously, they are a cast/crew all time favorite. Steve Wyman (our Ex. Producer) wanted to extend a particular 'thank you' because they are his favorites! :D I walked around the set passing them out, and thanking everyone for 'attending' the wedding. Editing, the writers, the producers, the crew and cast all got their fair share. So Thank you!!! :D

Also, I must thank the fans who sent the seeds of love wedding favors. They were so clever, and a lovely acknowledgement of Lumi's Green themed wedding. Thank you!!!!

And, as always, thank you, everyone, for your support and enthusiasm for Days and Lucas and Sami. We love what we do, and love the opportunity to make you laugh, cry and sigh, every chance we get. So thanks for watching.

There are just some days you need those sweets, aren't there? I came into work this morning at 7AM for a 12 hour shift and found a huge box of home made, fresh, chocolate chip cookies! You better believe I was bad and gobbled 2 of them down! So glad I didn't skip the excercising last night :D


The work that went into this wedding definitely shows and I'm sure you're passing that on to everyone. Everything from Ford's food (alliteration not intended) to the gorgeous flowers. Even the "trip" Sami made coming off the step and into her "hubbys" arms was so well placed and written. You can see that someone researched their history from the pearl necklace to all the photos and the montages. They even remembered Eric, Alice, and Bill! You ALL definitely have some scenes to be proud of!

I'm so glad that the favors and the mints were such a hit! Everyone involved in making that gorgeous and heartfelt wedding happen deserves a big thank you for such beautiful work this week. The green theme was carried out so well and was a wonderful addition to the occasion. It is absolutely a pleasure to support all of the commitment and hard work that went into making this special moment in Days history.

And we live for getting unexpected treats at work. Most of us try to be so responsible about the various goodies that appear in our kitchen but we just can't help sampling it all the same.

You're welcome! We're so glad that everything was a hit. You've probably noticed over the years that we have a fondness for getting everything personalized for Lumi, I can't even begin to say how thrilled we were to finally be able to put "Mr. & Mrs. Lucas Roberts" on the candy wrappers. :D It's wonderful to at last get payoff for years upon years of loyalty to this couple. :D

What would a wedding be without the favors. All I know is that it thrilled me to no end as a Lumi fan from waaaaaaaaay back to get so much from the past week's episodes. I remember mentioning over on 2nd Chances that as one of the fic writers (as is SuperSami, Mander, and CanuckDaysfan) we've all written about Lumi's proposals and weddings so it was fantastic to see so much of what we wanted. The only thing I would have changed would be that Marlena would have gone ahead and popped Kate. ;-P

I simply have to single out one piece though. To see the hopscotch scene used to honor Lumi was splendid.

I'm glad you, Steve, and all the rest enjoyed the goodies from 2nd Chances.
