Hello to all again!
I just had a quick question. I know Alyssa did the thing at Fenway and was wondering if she would be working her way around the country to other baseball stadiums. I would love if she could make it to Busch in St. Louis*hint, HINT*. If anybody has any information on this, I would love to hear it.
Thanks to all who reply.

Hi Kat.
Alyssa's travel schedule is kept private for her safety. Therefore I am unable to answer your question. I am sure if she is going to various stadiums we will at least see some pictures or hear about it in her mlb blog.

Thants crazy. I mean, think about it - why go on a publicity tour if you keep the schedule a secret?? She went to Boston to promote Touch. One would think the people at Touch would want to get the word out. Do they hope that peole will just stumble upon a store where she is scheduled to appear? Does Touch (ie G-III) want only 20 people to show or 2,000? Do they want 20 sales or 2,000?
I understand that there is concern for her safety but there are celebrities who make personal appearances all the time. If the appearances are well planned and well staffed, there is no need to worry about her safety.
If the appearances are well planned and well staffed, there is no need to worry about her safety. Kirtland,
First of all there is always a need to worry about safety... and that's b/c the "best laid plans" can even go awry.
Secondly, Alyssa is an extremely intelligent and business savvy woman... i'm guessing she is probably abundantly aware of the amount of press and notoriety her advance schedule knowledge would bring.... so it is probably safe to say there is a good reason for her to be doing business the way she is currently doing it... that's not to say things might not change but to take what Nooker said one step further...the mods here at Celebrity Loop are not at liberty to reveal her schedule and again... that is for Alyssa's safety and security.
It is a matter of respecting her rights and privacy.
Now if Alyssa chooses to share her plans then that would be a decision that she, her agents/publicists and her team at Touch and MLB would make.;)
Believe me, I see your point :cool:and understand the # of sales argument, however I would hope that you would also consider the crazy world we live in and the need to take extra precautions.
From her standpoint... keep in mind every time she leaves her house she has to coordinate security to just drive a car, go through an airport, deal with paparazzi and essentially, remain safe.
I personally can't even begin to fathom that kind of scrutiny or fishbowl life.:o
What she currently shares with us is already a gift.
Thanks for your understanding.:)
Vick
I may not be entirely correct, but from my understanding of some of her recent radio interviews, she discussed, perhaps one or two, of her upcoming (at the time) stadium appearances.
As Vick so eloquently stated, Alyssa's safety is paramount. Alyssa is not, by any means, hoping to keep her fans and the public away from her. Yet, as someone who is involved in so many ventures, has her acting career and humanitarian efforts to consider, Alyssa must take some precautions. This world is so unpredictable, so full of the unknown, and of course, the ever-present hordes of paparazzi waiting to capture every second of her life.
If you met her on the street or at an appearance, you would see that Alyssa is not your typical Hollywood starlet; there is no fuss or fanfare. She is normal; she has her good days and bad days; she loves her family, baseball and all sorts of things that everybody else does. She is entitled to moments of downtime, for privacy, even in areas we may like to think of her as 'public domain'.
Having said that, you may never know what the future will bring, what appearances might be announced, what parts of her schedule are released. As her fans though, we just ask for a little respect for Lyss, who is working so hard to bring many good things to the world :)
Take care, and I hope we've answered your question :)

Vick,
Thank you for your reply. I appreciate the time and the thoughts you made.
First and foremost, I want to say that I also respect Alyssa's rights and privacy. And I also understand that her safety and security is of the utmost importance. Having said that, I am still having a hard understand the decision Team Alyssa has made in not disclosing the dates and cities of her promotional appearances for Touch.
Secondly, ask any PR or marketing person and they will tell you that the point of going on a promotional tour is to generate publicity and buzz. It makes no sense to go thru all the time and effort to travel across the country and appear in a store with just the HOPE of someone passing by the store. As I said before, does she want 20 sales or 2,000?
With regards to her security during these appearances, I do not understand that if adequate security is provided, why there is concern. Im sure that besides her personal security team, there was also store security and a police detail on hand to ensure a safe environment. This year I have met Kristen Bell and Hayden Panetierre. These were events that were open to the public and anyone could attend (for a nominal entrance fee (it was a sci-fi convention)). These appearances were well publicized and announced well before the appearance date. There were thousands of people there and security was very present. THAT is why I am having such a hard time with all this. I mean, why can some celebrities do this without a hitch yet Alyssa cannot? If her decision is based upon advice from her security team - if they are saying they cannot protect her - then she needs to find another head of security. I'm not asking for you to tell me when her dentist appointments are or the next time she is going to the beach - that would be a violation of her rights and privacy and I could completely understand 100% the reason why you would not disclose that. But the point of these appearances IS to meet her fans (in a safe and controlled environment) and to generate sales. Again, THAT is why I am having such a hard time understanding the rational in not announcing these.
You said that Alyssa is "an extremely intelligent and business savvy woman" (which to me means she certainly knows publicity equals sales) and that it is "safe to say there is a good reason" for her not disclosing the details of any appearances. I cannot but help to ask - is there something you are not telling us? I mean, what is the reason then? You keep talking about her safety (you mention it not once, not twice but three times in your reply to me) Have there been threats made towards her safety? If so, then she shouldn't be doing any type of unnecessary public appearances. Period. The last thing anyone would want is to see Alyssa being put in harms way and I could then understand the reluctance of announcing where she will be (in fact, I would plead with you to persuade Alyssa to cancel any remaining dates for this Touch Promo tour). I hope to God this is not the case.
I hope that team Alyssa will reconsider the current policy of not announcing her appearances prior. Instead of announcing the whole schedule for the rest of the summer, maybe make a posting 48 - 72 hours before a scheduled appearance would be an adequate compromise. I understand there are many factors weighing against each other (security vs sales) but please understand that we are her fans and we love her and its not everyday we get a chance to meet someone we respect and admire. Alyssa, please dont forget your fans.
Thank you for you patience with me and for trying to understand my point of view.
kirtland
Kirtland,
I know that you respect Alyssa and her decisions, which is why I think you'll agree with me when I say that Alyssa is in no way forgetting her fans. I can assure you that Alyssa holds each of you in the highest respect, and is always worried about the decisions she makes and the repercussions for you all. TOUCH is extremely dear to her heart, as it is something she can provide to her fans and to fans of baseball. It is a very important part of her life, and I assume that she is behind each and every decision for her company.
Whilst it may not be shouted from the rooftops for the entire country to view, I'm guessing that in the cities Alyssa chooses to appear in that there is promotion for her visits. I am just asking you to think of Alyssa as a person - she has consistently forged ahead and made her own decisions, and chooses how to deal with these aspects of her business in her own way.
As for your comments on her security; Alyssa is not in any danger. Many stars have security to satisfy requirements of industry executives, for companionship on their journeys, and a slew of other reasons. Sometimes, it's best to err on the side of caution, even if there is no need to.
There is no doubt Alyssa is 'business savvy', as Vick put it, and has obviously spent a great deal of time learning the ins and outs of what will make her brand successful. Alyssa has made the decisions, and I think we should all respect what she chooses to do with TOUCH. I completely understand where you are coming from, and know that you would love to see promotion for the brand in order to maximise sales. However, Alyssa is doing what she feels best, and if in the future she changes her decisions to encompass a wider range (or louder voice) of publicity, we will act in accordance with her wishes and announce this. Until then, I would hope you keep on the lookout for mention of appearances in your area and wish you luck in meeting her :)
Kirtland,
Please know we appreciate your imput... we really do... and more importantly we appreciate the professional manner with which you've stated it.
It is just that we see both sides... You make valid points... there is no question there... but as employees of Celebrity Loop (volunteer, but employees none the less) we are bound by certain codes of ethics.
Zoee did her usual great job explaining CL's stance so I won't reiterate...
I hope the day comes that ALyssa is able to announce her schedule in advance so that her throngs of fans can meet her, support all her humanitarian efforts and even buy her apparel... until that day comes though, we just need to believe that the decisions being made are being done so with everyones best interest at heart.
Vick

I understand why Alyssa dosen´t want to make her schedule public... It will be crazy, for she of course! She is so famous and she coudn´t do nothing with a milion people around she, and The paparazzis that they will waiting to make the "best pic" of Alyssa....
When an actor/actress, singer... any famous person do something and the people know... the people become crazy, and when there are more than 100 people wanting an autograph or a pic with her/him idol, ist so dangerous for the famous person life....
I think, its my point of view, Alyssa is doing a great politicy, I mean, the people who is adveising she, are doing a grear job! With this form she is safe, she can separate her private life of the events on she appears... And for she this is the best!
Maybe for us its not good, I mean, because we can follow her as we want... but I think it is the rigth way!
Don´t change never Alyssa! and don´t forget us!
Lau.
