Good morning folks :)

Lately, I've noticed a slew of posts popping up concerning rumours that are doing the rounds about Alyssa. They are ranging from 'Is Charmed coming back?', to 'Alyssa's in talks to appear in a soap', and I'm sure you could find a site or two claiming Alyssa to be an alien.

Now, many of the rumours you may encounter are not only blatantly false, but may also be malicious of Alyssa's character, friends, family, co-stars, etc. I urge you all to take each thing you read with a grain of salt, until you read it at www.alyssa.com or right here at the Celebrity Loop boards. You have it on good authority from Lin Milano, Alyssa, Kathy (Feles) and the entire moderating staff, that the information we post is 100% correct. We have established a reputation for delivering the truth, and not succumbing to the gossip-mongering antics of other websites that operate.

Alyssa and Lin will release information regarding Alyssa's career, business ventures, television appearances, and certain other aspects of her life, when the time is right and they feel comfortable sharing. You will never be kept out of the loop; this is the only reliable spot for gaining your information swiftly and accurately.

Can I ask, for Alyssa's sake, that we try and keep the posts asking about rumours you've come across off the boards. If you have any queries, please don't hesitate to contact any of the moderating staff by PM or email. We will do our very best to answer your questions, and reaffirm that the issue in question is a rumour, and that all information on Alyssa will be posted by Lin and the Celebrity Loop Team.

By posting the rumours, we are only adding more fuel to the fire, and infringing upon Alyssa's privacy in some cases. Let's pull together and keep the false stories from infiltrating our great boards. Again, any of the moderating staff will be more than happy to help :)

you know every time i read a thread telling us (is Alyssa going to be on XXXXX) i feel like woohooo then i tell myself they didn't say anything yet but i hope its true... then we hear nothing :confused:

i hope they stop posting what they hear and wait until its official...

There is another message board that I go to and there was a post on there about Jennie Garth being the first DWTS contestant that was announced recently, and another poster came in the thread and said that they read that Alyssa had signed on too. I honestly didn't mean to bring any rumors here or anything and meant no harm by that. I was very excited about it because DWTS is a favorite TV show of mine so I was thrilled when I had read that. I figured that Safe Searching would be the place to ask about it. I stated it as a rumor because there was no other talk of it anywhere so that was all me. I truely apologize.

Whilst I know you posted that thread, this thread is meant to serve more as a kind request to limit rumour posting, especially of the more malicious kind that constantly circles. You certainly did not mean any harm, as I am sure most people don't when they stumble across these threads elsewhere and post them here.

I just wanted to ask everyone to come to the mods first when you see these rumours, instead of bringing them to the boards. I know there are many harmless rumours out there, like the DWTS one, but to make it so that the truly false and malicious rumours are kept off the boards, I ask that all things you hear are double-checked with one of the mods before posting.
