About Gary...

Good evening all –

As each of you is aware our friend, Gary Davis, “Uncle G,” is in the hospital. We learned today his illness is very serious. I am not at liberty to discuss details of Gary’s situation and I ask each of you to refrain from sending me PMs and/or emails asking questions I cannot answer. I promise to update this message with follow-ups at every opportunity and will only discuss that information I am at liberty to provide.

I charged our moderating staff with development of a cyber “get well card” for Gary and ask that you send your best wishes, love and hugs for Gary to Ryebeach, Raggs, Mander, and CJHeart specifically. Please send everything via Private Message to each of these moderators. We want to reach out to Gary with a HUGE outpouring of love and best wishes so I ask each of you to take just a moment to jot some thoughts down and send them to us. Gary has always been there for us, let’s give him every ounce of support we can to help him and his family through this difficult time.

I welcome any questions you have, with the exception of anything relating to the specifics of Gary’s illness.

Our paths haven't crossed much but Gary is always there to lend his support and best wishes to everyone and he so reveres the Milanos I know the best thing we can do is to provide that same kind of support and love right back at/to him.

Many of you don't know Gary as well as some. Others have been graced with his humour, his friendship, love and respect, especially in times of need. Gary is someone who has always been there for everybody, no matter how much is asked of him. He is a kind and gentle soul, a creative man, with his heart etched with protecting his friends, and Alyssa.

The boards have had Gary leaving his footprints across them since the greenroomonline.com days :) He's a special member of our family, and I hope each of you will take the time to send your love and best wishes to Gary and his family.

Gary's health took a turn for the better. He is able to sit up for a bit, is more alert and able to talk with visitors for short periods of time. While Gary is mending, this healing is going to take a a while, so please keep Gary in your thoughts and prayers.

Work has kept me too busy to come in here for awhile, so this was quite a shock. :(
And quite a relief to read further into the thread that Gary is on the right way. I do hope progress will continue.

Although I've been around here for several years now, I still haven't had any direct contact with "Uncle G" - because I've mainly just lurked - but in my eyes he has become part of what gives this board its heart and soul.
I wish him a speedy recovery, and will keep him in my thoughts and prayers.
