YOU KNOW YOU ARE LIVING IN 2007 when...
1. You accidentally enter your PIN on the microwave.
2. You haven't played solitaire with real cards in years.
3. You have a list of 15 phone numbers to reach your family of three.
4. You e-mail the person who works at the desk next to you.
5. Your reason for not staying in touch with friends and family is that they don't have e-mail addresses.
6. You pull up in your own driveway and use your cell phone to see if anyone is home to help you carry in the groceries.
7. Every commercial on television has a web site at the bottom of the screen.
8. Leaving the house without your cell phone, which you didn't even have the first 20 or 30 (or 60) years of your life, is now a cause for panic and you turn around to go and get it.
10. You get up in the morning and go on line before getting your coffee.
11. You start tilting your head sideways to smile. : )
12. You're reading this and nodding and laughing.
13. Even worse, you know exactly to whom you are going to forward this message.
14. You are too busy to notice there was no #9 on this list.
15. You actually scrolled back up to check that there wasn't a #9 on this list.
AND NOW U R LAUGHING at yourself.

so perfect Billlizzle...BUT....You forgot one....
You don't go to the bathroom without making sure your cell phone is not on vibrate, and then you balance it on the sink, and then it falls on the floor when you wash your hands, the battery falls out, and the cover flies off, it gets wet, and you have to dry the whole thing out before you can put it back together again. In the meantime, you have missed 14 voice mails, 8 "missed calles" and 10 text messages, and have to get on-line as fast as possible to e-mail your entire list, that "you have been away from your desk."!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! yehaaaa

Not possible Billizzle and Nooker but many thanks...
For those who don't know I was visiting my brother in Philly>while there we had our cousins from France arrive.
Now the cousins are with me here in Atlanta.
They will be here 1 more week so my ability to be on the boards will be curtailed due to entertaining, sightseeing and a desperate attempt to speak French:p
So as I said before... with real heartfelt emotion...
miss you:o

billlizzzzle??? Yes, that is a BIT of a personal experience with "the cell phone saga." I am from the day and age, where the phone was a big square thing with a "receiver" on a long cord that was ALWAYS tangled around something, and that you often tripped over, and definitely did not vibrate or fit in any pocket... and rang.....and rang and rang and rang until it was answered or you figured out "nobody was home." Or there was an annoying buzzzing buzzzzy signal ("maaa-maaaa-maaaa) and NO CALL WAITING, and you would pray the blabber mouth would be off the phone soon so you could coo and tweet to your boyfriend for an hour or two, while your mom was trying to get you to open the door and get off the phone so "someone else could use it," and you "dialed" the number, and the only "messages" you could get were the ones you wrote down with a broken piece of red crayon you found under a chair and left taped to the refridgerator or back door, that usually fell off because the tape lost it's "stick." Yes, I am from the Dark Ages.....

Haha. I vaguely vaguely remember something like this. But I was just a pip squeak when this was all going on so I don't remember much. I'm glad we have people like you who can share what it was like back in the olden days. :p ;) :D

The prefix was spruce shortened to SP. You just dialed (rotary dial) the numbers that corresponded to the s & P (in our case 77). Eventually it changed to all numbers.

I remember my mom talking about "all the things that were so different" when she was little, and now here I am...talkin like an ol fogey!! I am actually going back to Michigan for A GRADE SCHOOL REUNION!!! I won't even bother to tell you how long ago that was, but THAT is going to be something. I haven't ever gone to a high school one, but I went to this grade school from Kindergarden through 8th grade...with pretty much the same kids. I CAN'T EEEEEVVVVE IMAGINE!! It is at the end of August. I am sure I will have some pretty funny stories from that one!

Ours was ME for Melrose and my grandma's was ST for Sterling. My grandma is long dead and that house is long gone but I still remember my grandma's phone number as ST1-3055. :D (That was back when phones called houses) :p
And I too remember dialing phones and waiting a second or two as the dial went ticka-ticka-ticka back around to the beginning again before you dialed the next number. :) We had a party line for a short time too...those were the worst! You might as well forget it if you ever wanted to use the phone.
