Hi.
I've just finished reading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows tonight and I loved it. I'm really glad with the way it was finished and how we finally got some answers to some questions that I have been longing to know about for ages.
I know people reading this post should be expecting spoilers but I don't want to say too much here in my first post on this but am happy to talk about this with others who have read the book.

I finished it yesterday and loved it. There were some very sad deaths, but some characters come through at surprising times. I have to say this, I LOVE Molly towards the end! That is one of my favorite parts. Dumbledore and Snape are full of surprises and I am so glad she wrote them how she did. Kreacher was a happy surprise and the house elevs towards the end was great. there are so many surprises, but so many of them were fantastic. The deaths were sad but I knew there were going to be some, and that some would be characters we have come to have deep affection for. Both Dumbledores were great surprises and I think we found out more about Albus than in the other six books combined. I love how she intertwined so many characters that have died or left the school. Everyone that comes to the room of requirements was fanastic and all of the surprise turn-ups like Oliver Wood were a nice addition. This is a great book and I truly enjoyed reading it.

I really loved reading it and I am so happy with the way it ended. I was so chuffed when Hermione kissed Ron and then to see them happy in the future. I was even happier to finally find out about Snape and that he was looking out for Harry all along. I had a feeling that he would turn out good but I must admit I was worried for a while. I thought Molly was great too at the end and I could picture Julie Walters playing out that fight scene in my head. That will be good to see in the last film. I thought Kreacher was cool in the end and the other house elves were great. I was really sad when I read about Dobby though. There were more deaths than I thought there would be. All in all I was kept in suspense right until the end and I'm a bit sad that there won't be any more to read but I suppose it had to end at some point and at least we had a good ending that was worth waiting for.

Finished the book last night. It was totally out of control. There were, I thought, a lot of deaths that were unenssary and very sad. No one was safe in this book, anyone could have died and even those you thought could never be hurt, were badly injured or worse killed. It was jam-packed with action tho. I almost never had a moments rest where I could calm down. Totally on the edge of my seat aching for more. I found it very hard to put the book down. :) I'm happy with the way it ended, although all these years I've been a Harry/Hermione shipper. I just wish that Lupin and Tonks could have lived...I felt so bad for them and Teddy. And as you've said, it's sad to think that it's over now...no more books. :(
