To read the newspapers this week was to wonder afresh what kind of country Britain has become and what kind of people we have turned into.

As 11-year-old Rhys Jones innocently kicked a football round the carpark of a Liverpool pub on Wednesday evening, he was shot in the neck by a teenager in a hoodie top, who then fled the scene on a BMX bike.

Rhys died there in the car park, cradled in the arms of his mother, Melanie.

Rhy is the latest CHILD to die from gun or knife crime when is it going to end ?

So it brings me to my question.. Who is to blame ?

My dad used to go hunting alot when he could so he holds a licence for shot guns and they have to be locked up in a gun case and the police come to make sure its all safe once a year ok probley not enogh but at least there is some sort of checking in place. Yeah with shot guns... Air riffels however nothing... i was shopping with my dad in my local town and wanted to pop to a sports shop in the window there was all kinds of them hand helds riffels gas all sorts and so cheep i could have put my hand in my pocket and got one there and then if i had wanted to. When you think i dont get alot of money each week and can still aford to get myself a gun that aint good. So my dad started to ask the shop owner some questions starting with what kind of licence do you need? Answer you dont.. Do you have to inform the police you have one.. Answer no.. do you sell many? Answer yes loads everyday they sell better then shoes... The man then started telling my dad they have to be under what ever power it was before you need a licence but all you need to do to make them more powerfull is buy a spring i couldnt belive what i was listening to.. OK my dad is an old man in a wheelchair now and knows abit about them anyways but the group of kids behind us that had gathered to look at the guns he had got out dont have the sence to think ok that could kill someone then he just tells them how to make it more powerfull.
My point who's fault is it then...
The parents ? They give the kids to much pocket money when i was a kid i got £2 a week now they get £10
The shop owner ? Only interested in selling as many as he can to make as much as he can
The goverment ? Why the hell is there no laws in place
The schools maybe ? They just dont teach you any respect anymore
Music ? well we all know what kinda music im talking about

I think in some sort of way we are all to blame I mean i didnt open my mouth and tell shop keeper to shut up infront of them did i. I didnt turn round to the kids and say why would you want one..
What i do know is something needs to be done and it needs to be done now.. You shouldnt be able to go into a shop to by shoes and be able to get a gun while you are there i dont care how powerfull the law says it should be.. you see lil sex shops and tattoo shops with blacked out windows so you cant see in and a big notice on the door say you must be over what ever age to come in here but guns can be put out on display in the shop windows.....

Please tell me if you think im out of order here im so used to being able to see things from both sides and i just cant with this...
