I have noticed that there are so many clever brains on this site, so I was hoping for some tips...
I was wondering if anyone knew any tips for becoming successful, like Alyssa, in getting where I want to be.
Sorry if I’m being a pain by asking because I know it doesn't really have a lot to do with Alyssa. But she is my idol and she has inspired me.
I want to be a success in my singing, acting and dancing. I have been singing for 6 years, dancing for 12 and acting for 5.
I would be grateful if someone could tell me some useful points to make this happen as i have just recovered from an operation and would like to carry on with my dream but don't really know where to start x
Don't worry if you can’t. I don't mind. I just don't know who else to ask :p

I have no idea how to get where I want to be and as a lot of people on here deal with celebrities...I thought it would be a good idea :p

Many thanks Love Gemma x

Hi Gemma :)
I'm Zoee, one of the mods here, so perhaps I can help you out a little. From what I know of Alyssa, she's a very strong and encouraging person, and she would tell you that a) it's great to have a dream; b) hold onto that dream because it's yours and no one can take it away from you; and c) work towards your dream or goal in baby steps to achieve the bigger picture.

You said that you wanted to find success in singing, dancing and acting. Well, sweetie, you have already started - look at how many years you have put into this already ;) I know that when you want success and want something to happen, you want it to happen now. Perhaps right now, the right timing is waiting for its number to be called - just keep on building your experience ;)

If you have teachers for singing, acting & dancing, or local groups that conduct lessons/activities for a small fee or for free, you might be able to boost your skills a little more. You can also ring around talent agencies and have a chat to a few people, and ask for tips. If you keep up with that... persisting and persevering (even when the odds might not be in your favour), you'll find that things may start working out for you :D

Now, you're recovering from an operation, so you need to focus on your fitness and health. Eat healthy foods, take some walks, do some light exercise and build up your strength. It might also help to enlist a friend or a family member to encourage you, and to always encourage yourself. You could be the best singer in the world, and if you don't believe in yourself and your ability, you might not reach your potential.

It's a long and hard road, and there will be plenty of struggles, but it's important not to give up and to just keep on reaching for more. Effort and motivation and belief in your yourself - the ingredients for success ;)

I hope this helps, Gemma. Good luck.
Zoee

One advice piece I heard that has stuck with me is.......
Record yourself, play back and judge yourself,
they say the hardist critic is yourself!

You can also:
Use the bits about Alyssa that inspire you to motivate you.
When your feeling like **** then have something that you can instantly think of that will make you laugh.
Practice, practice, practice.
or meet people who know people who know people (this is very hard but does work sometimes, I went to LA once and I wanted to meet the cast of Buffy so I went to Warner Bros, a guy there told me to go to another location, which turned out to be outdoor lot where they filmed the cemetry scenes, a guy there gave me directions to another location, which turned out to be an office estate. Unfortunately for me the cast weren't there but I did find their head office and got a free offical photograph)

When i'm working on my stories or my sketches, i usually do one of the above.
Hope that helps, and good luck

:)

You just have to believe in yourself never quit and in your journey if you stumble pick yourself up and dance your way to your dream write a song so you will have something that is yours and act like you have been here before and you will never fail and don't forget to smile.
Good luck!!
