Hi folks,

I have recently watched a TV commercial about Sheer Cover with Alyssa.
I been pretty surprised when I saw her at the studio, though!
Leeza Gibbons introduced Sheer Cover with so many good points of using it I hardly could resist, so I instantly grabbed the phone and wanted to get that for so little money but then I paused to think. 'Do I need to have that make up just cuz of Alyssa? cuz she "maybe" avails herself of sheer cover?' 'It may be cheaper if I call right now but would I be happy about it in the end?'
I mean I'd be using somethin I barely knew...much less never ever tested it before.
I have kind of a problematic skin, I grant, but wouldn't it be better callin for advice first than to order somethin over a commercial without being informed in the first place. I mean, today is everything possible with retouching and prettify. I have seen a picture of Alyssa without make up and with make up and she said she would rather go to bed with sheer cover and awake in the mornings with the knowledge of having beautiful skin when she looks in the mirror.(which is obviously so not necessary cuz i'd prefer to have her natural skin than mine...not that I'd have acne everywhere but impurities. I been using 'Proactive' for some months...it helps but since I already have dry skin it makes it even drier!) well, that wasn't the shortcut I intended...anyway, do you guys know by any chance if she uses that magic 'Sheer Cover' and is it of any good use?
What do you think does she use for nice skin?....what about you? have any of you been using an efficacious remedy other than 'Proactive'? Your advices and ways to deal with problematic skin would so much help and I'm sorry about pelting you with so many questions!:o

Alrighty then, last but not at least I wish you a happy new year with a lot of sunshine, happiness and unforgettable moments!

Love, Monica

Monica ~

I have very pale, VERY sensitive skin. I actually haven't been able to wear much make-up in my life because it causes my skin to break out, causes a rash, and makes my skin itch. About a year ago I found a natural skin care regime that is made from plant based products rather than animal based, and have had very good luck with that.

So...I thought I would try mineral make up. I used the mineral make up that was part of the skin care line I was using, but after about a week it made my skin itch, so I quit using it. I then tried Bare Minerals and had the same problems within about a week.

I have been using Sheer Cover for about 8 months now, and I love it. I could say good things about it all day!!! I ordered it from the infomercial and that enrolls you in a program where you can have it auto-shipped -- you pick the schedule and you pick the products you want and as long as you are in the program you get a discount.

I hope this information helps you make your decision.

Oh, I almost forgot:

Here is an interview that was posted a People.com (http://offtherack.people.com/2007/09/13/alyssa-milanos-homerun-beauty-regimen/- linked from Alyssa's MLBlog regarding the products she uses:
It was “out of necessity” that actress Alyssa Milano created Touch, her exclusive line of women’s Major League Baseball attire. “I got very tired of going into stadium shops and not finding anything cute and fashionable that fit my body and that wasn’t pink,” says Milano, an avid baseball fan (she writes the Touch ‘Em All blog on mlb.com and was just named a post-season correspondent for the TBS Hot Corner, the baseball broadband channel on mlb.com). Next year her line will expand to include girls fashions and headwear, but right now Milano is prepping for the post-season. So what does beauty on the baseball field mean? Here are Milano’s fangirl musts:

1. Sunscreen: “I use sunscreen by Corrective Skin Care. It’s a company out of Utah and I love their products because they are all natural.”

2. Makeup: “I use Sheer Cover, a mineral makeup with sunscreen in it. It doesn’t clog your pores and you can sweat in it and it still stays in place.”

3. Lip balm: “Chap Stick at the games. If I show up in lip gloss it’s soon gone because of all the nachos I eat.”

4. Comfy shoes: “I wear either Converse low-tops or something comfortable that I can get around the stadium in.”

5. A hat. “I always wear hats to day games. I wear the franchise cap.”

Lori, thank you so much. You were a huge help!!! Now I can be sure that it's not just another stupid commercial I normally see on TV, which is of no use! I hope I'm gonna see the infomercial soon again, so I get the chance to order sheer cover!:)

I never heared of sheer cover, I don't even know if you can buy it in Belgium, but I did some research and it looks good.

I was just looking to buy myself some makeup since I always use my sisters and you can buy Sheer cover on ebay so...

I do have 1 question. Would you say Sheer Cover is cheaper than other cosmetic products?

I would say the price is comperable to similar products, especially since you are getting the concealer and the foundation. I use it every day and it seems to last a long time.

I have never used sheer cover so i don't know how good or bad it is. but about a week ago i startet to use "Benzaknen" (cause i've got quite problematic skin) and it does seem to work. but you said that you have got dry skin so i don't know if it is that suitable for you cause it dries your skin out a little but for everyone who would like to try it... (i'm not sure if you can get it everywhere though, my mother either got it in the uk or in germany but i'm not sure where)

sheer cover is the ONLY make-up I use. I have been using it for months now and I adore it. I do sometimes fall asleep without washing it off and it does no damage to my skin (doesnt cause pimples like most make-ups).

I dont use Sheer Cover and havent heard of it :p

But if nothing works for great skin..you could always ask your doctor. Most doctors are great at that stuff. Mine was. But obviously i dont know your doctor but if nothing else works i would give him/her a try.

Hope you find what you are looking for :D
