First time poster here: Cub Fan Curt
I'm a baseball fan and thru that is how I became an Alyssa Milano fan. I'm from central Illinois (peoria area) and before last fall, this is what I knew about Alyssa. That she was an actress and that is pretty much is it. But since finding myself continuing to come to this site, I'm interested in how all of you became Alyssa fans. When, why, and where are you from?
For me it was last sept after seeing her on a rerun of The Best Damn Sports Show. Intrigued as to why she was on, I watched. I learned that she was a Dodger fan, a blogger, designer...., but more importantly, a really nice person. To me, she kind of like "leaves you wanting more". Then in oct, as the baseball playoffs were about to begin, I heard her interviewed on a chicago sports radio station. She told about her being a big baseball fan and her upcoming work on TBS.com. But again she sounded like the nicest person around.
I watched her on EARL and then the strike. I was already an EARL watcher, but it was nice to see her on tv again. I had watched her "grow up" on WHO'S THE BOSS, but never really followed her acting career after that. And now I'm sorry that I hadn't. Thinking about getting into CHARMED on TNT though. Alot of catching up to do, but I plan on following her acting career from now on. A "really great actress"...
Long story short, after checking out the things she had mentioned, I ended up at ALYSSA.com knowing that she was a very nice person. But I really had no idea the person that she really is. Just a really great person who does care. I have so much respect and admiration for her and really do "think the world of her", just as all of you do too. So I became an Alyssa Milano fan, as I find myself continuing to come here and to her baseball blog. Just to find out what she's up to and thinking about. She is really is one of the really GOOD PEOPLE people in this world.
Does anyone know if she reads her fan mail? Since last december, I've been wanting to send her one. But I've been hesitant to actually do it. Does she actually get them or do they just go to FAN WRAP and they mail out a photo of her, and she never sees them. Then there has been this problem with the Fan Wrap mailing address, so I never did try sending one.
So I'm thankful that last fall, I caught Alyssa on tv and that I watched. After learning about the person she really is, I've become an ALYSSA MILANO FAN for life. If I hadn't watched, she would just be an actress on EARL. Thankfully I watched and learned everything that she does to make this a better world. THANKS ALYSSA !!!
