View Full Version : Sorry I haven't been around
much but my baby boy just graduated from high school yesterday.
My husband and I have both been working like mad fools this spring to earn some extra dollars (you all know how that is what with the economy and all) and now that we have 2 going to college we are feeling the pinch really hard.
Anyway as soon as I can get my hands on some grad photos I will share with you all.
It was almost surreal watching him cross the stage to get his diploma... I suddenly was remembering holding his hand to cross the parking on his first day of kindergarten.
I seriously have no idea where the time went....
Anyways, sorry for my absence of late. I hope to be around more now....
Missed you all,
Vicky

Congrats, Vick. I suddenly have the image of you cradling a full grown man in your arms and he's wearing a bonnet and sucking a pacifier. Haha. Wow, I've been out of High School 10 years - time flies! We're all feeling that evil pinch lately - esp with 4.00 a gallon gas. Yikes!
Vicky,
please don't apologise. I think everybody suddenly gets busy at this time of year. You have to do what is right by your family, and sometimes that means extra hard work to stay on top of things. I have so much on my plate at the moment as well. It would take me a whole page to go into it, but I'm here for you with all of your things too!
Congratulations to the young man on graduating!! You must be so proud and so sad at the same time. It's unbelievable how fast time flies!!
Petrol here hit $1.60 per litre last Thursday, which is outrageous. I honestly hate going to my local petrol station; they charge like wounded bulls. I drove into the city on Thursday and fuel there was $1.37 in the morning and by the time I was coming home it was $1.57. I couldn't believe it could rise 20 cents!!!!! in just a few hours.
Anyway, I am so looking forward to catching up with you soon. I've missed you.
Love Z
Hey Mander and Z,
I will also post a pic of the scooters Bill and I have bought to deal with the gas crisis.
We couldn't get the boys cars so we are letting them use ours while we tool around on the scooters.
We can fill up for about $12-14 dollars/tank and it gets us about 2 - 3 weeks of travel.
The insurance and registration is considerably lower too. We don't go on the highways and since everything we really need is within a few miles (including our work) it should pay for itself rather quickly.
No about that bonnet and pacifier wisecrack.... you just wait till you have a couple of your own then we can talk!!! In fact I want to see how you handle Summer's pre - K graduation.
And Z... you have no idea how much I miss you too.
Love you both
Vic

Congrats, Vick, on your son's graduation last week. :) Time certainly flies. Like Mander, I've been out of high school ten years now. Really hadn't thought about that till just now. It's mind-boggling to try and think where those 10 years have gone...
Very good idea getting those scooters. Gas here is averaging 4.10 and rising so it costs be over $50.00 to fil up and it's usually every 6 days or so I have to do that. Something's got to give soon.
Looking forward to seeing some grad pics and it's great to have you back. :)
