The Beautiful Cuts

I have not seen JLH in many new movies, and I think a big problem for young actresses is finding meaningful material probably? :( Have you read the book, "The Beautiful Cuts?"

Each of the four stories there I can totally see Jen in the roles. Especially this story about this woman who grows up in a society where the number of cuts on your skin represents love.

I don't remember the site I actually bought the book, but read about it on some blogspot blog with the book's title.

Actresses need classy roles I think.

While I agree this could be a different role for her, there's 2 problems I see.

1-She's not exactly a "young actress" now. For better or worse she's 29, so she's in a bigger field of actresses. She can do better, and I really think taking some supporting roles would be a great way to be in a big film and hone her acting skills even further.

2-Even with it's sci-fi undertones, it could be misinterprted as glamorizing the practice of "cutting". I have a relative who had some serious psychological problems and was doing this. Plus do we really want to see her slicing her arms?
