hi everyone! no no no , there will be no talk of slowing down! /images/graemlins/shocked.gif so i have come to the rescue. So, lets discuss! i have a question for all of you. lets say you had been granted your very own power to change something in the world, anything at all, what would it be? what is your passion outside of your own life? i think these are interesting things to think about, and sometimes it makes you realize how lucky we are to be who and where we are in the world. /images/graemlins/wink.gif

Thats probably the toughest question any1s ever asked me. um it certainly is a thinker. if i had the power to change anything in the world it would be to remove all evil.The other question i dont really understand exactly what it means. ill answer it as soon as i figure it out.

Well Karen, That's a hard question to anwser. Well for me anyways. One thing I would change in the world... I know this might sound stupid, but I would get ride of all the nasty bugs. I know, They help the flowers and stuff. I just can't stand them, Especially mosquitos.

The second question was what's my passion outside of life, That would be well it's not outside my life. But I love to write scripts. I put myself inside of the script. If you get what I'm saying. That's how I write, I become the characters. So if that's considered outside of my life, than that's that.

Wouldn't try that one, if the world was TOO good, every bad thing someone would do would be a capital offense ... I remember seeing a Charmed episode about it, limbs were cut off just for using a cell phone in a hospital. Yes, I know that's not real but just using it to explain.

If I had one power to change ANYTHING in the world ... Mmm, that is a tough one, I wouldn't change anything ... because if it weren't for those challenges, some big some small, the world would be the most boring place and even though I'm only 14 and haven't even experienced the "real world" yet, I know that if we got rid of hate, evil, reality t.v., etc. there will be some more consequences that we don't know about. But getting rid of reality t.v. does sound good /images/graemlins/smile.gif
Second question, what's my passion outside of life? I'm going to have to think about that one some more, you're right, Karen, they are good things to think about.

Good point, i guess if i couldnt do that and take away evil i would have to say i would want for there to be no discrimination as far as skin color, weight, income ect.
that would make the world abetter place on some level.

You guys are very deep... I don't know how but I would remove arrogance and laziness from the world. I don't think there is anything that annoys me more than people with an overly inflated opinion of themselves. They think that they are the greatest but they are so not... O.K sorry about that! I went on a little rant there. Its been a bad day at work.

My passion purely and simply is movies. I review the latest releases for the local paper over here. My dream job would be a movie critic like Barry Norman (Britains No.1 movie critic). Who would be the Canadian/American version?

Dude this is such a hard question. I believe what a few of you said is true, that if you try to take the bad things out of life there will be unknown consequences to deal with and...you know, it's kinda like Tomb Raider: Cradle of Life. Every action has to have a reaction, with good comes bad, with life comes death. You know, it all has to be balanced. Ok, I'm rambling now. But anyways...since we're speaking in hypotheticals I'll answer it anyways. I hate to see people in pain and suffering. And since I've seen Beyond Boarders and have read Notes From My Travels, I've really been wanting to help those people acheive better lives. I guess you could say that's kind of become my passion outside of my own life. I want to do what I can to help people like those refugees. Who are constantly running in fear, who have no food, no homes, no hope. It's terrible the things that happen to them. And if I could do anything in this world that meant something, it would be to put their suffering to an end.

Everyone's right!! Those are really hard questions. Especially when your totally and completely burned out because you've been reading the DaVinci Code for the past day none stop. Ummm, let's see. I'm pretty content with the world as a whole right now. I mean, like pretty much everyone I would love to see an end to war and suffering, but I just don't see it happening and we have to make the best of it until our(what I really mean is mine: us upper teenagers) generation is in a position of power.

As far as my passions go. I love just...imagination, I guess. Getting in lost in something like a book, a movie, show, or even absorbed in a story I'm writing. Takes my mind off my stressful life, I guess. I also LOVE to travel. I grew up in Singapore and so I've been ALL over Europe and Asia and I really miss it now that I'm back in the States.

Well Karen, that certainly got a response.
I actually am working on the power to change a few things. I am working on a website for Pets & their Owners. I want the opportunity to help those animals who are abused, malnourished,in need of a home, or whatever the situation,& I think a lot of good will come out of this site. It will be a great thing.
As for your 2nd question...My passion is my son. He makes everyday exciting & new. He's the best person I know.

There are 2 things I would change in this world World Peace and Poverty.

My passion outside my life is working with the less forunate. Going out and buying a bag of groceries for family indeed, being a big brother and giving a child a chance at life and letting them know there is someone out there who cares.

My wife was born with Spina Bifida so I tend to see things through her eyes and not to take things for granted.

As for my passions, well i dont think its a secret that id give anything to be famous,
and i have always wanted to go to see the pyramids in egyptand ive always thought it be cool to be one of those detectives like a forensic detective.

There is some bad stuff going on over seas with women and childern. I would wish that away. There are alot of places I would love to explore. Places like Greece, Italy, India, and Egypt. I'm also hope to help with whats going on over seas with women and childern. Those things run really deep with me.

My power would be to stop all chid abuse. I would take out chid abuse specifally because children cant defend them self like a adult might be able to.
My Passion would be acting. I took a semister of acting at school. And will be taking a year class of acting.That will be my second year of acting. I dont think that counts as outside my life, but I think it's close enough.

Hmm good question, if I had any power. I would do away with all the people who hurt children and animals. Cause there the ones with no voice and no way to defend themselves. They would just go poof. Gone.. and all the orphan animals and kids would find happy homes

Well I feel really bad /images/graemlins/frown.gif All guys guys whave great things to get rid of and i only said to do away with insects and bad bugs. Well I agree with Larissa. Get rid of the people who hurt children and animals. What I would do if I had the power I would send all the bad people to a planet on an island. I know it sounds dumb like someone said about the epsisod on Charmed about taking away all evil would be bad because just anwsering a cellphone in a hospital you would get your arm cut off. But what I'm trying to say is that if all the bad people were taking to another planet then life on earth will be better, until a new murder was born then they will just have to be shiped off to the planet. You get what I'm saying? I for one don't know why people have to hurt other people and animals, and steal children. I hate living in a world like this. It's just so sad. /images/graemlins/frown.gif I would also Help starving people in 3rd world countries. Find cures for all the bad diseses out there. There are a lot of things that we could change if we had the power to change things.

oy where do i even begin....i would stop child abuse, i've experienced it a few times and it isnt pretty, I've seen Beyond Borders as well and it just made me cry,those things like that i want to end as well as animal abuse, seen it and had it done to my own dog which i put to an end immediately.

my passions are writing, drawing, horses, helping animals and working with them, being there for my friends

Answer: there would be no Wars, no crime, no poverty, and no totalitarianism

Q2: what is your passion outside of your own life?

Answer: hmm...passion outside of my own life...the way I interpret the question is if I wasn't doing what I do for a living what would I be doing...I would have studied Pre-Veterinary Medicine and become a Veterinarian. /images/graemlins/smile.gif
