I'm curious as to why you yourself wrote a blog to be proud of the way you looked based on the Hawaii photos, when you are now in the front page of US magazine with an exclusive about how you lost 18 lbs. I'm curious, are you a size zero now, and do you finally feel beautiful?

Curiouser -
I'm curious...
Are you asserting that Jennifer isn't allowed to lose weight if she desires to because she chose to respond to unexpectedly cruel and insensative treatment from paparrazi and the the public at large?
Whether or not Jennifer lost weight was and never will be the issue. Jennifer isn't losing weight as a result of a magazine article. What Jennifer simply stated is that people should be comfortable with themselves regardless of how much they weigh or how they look. In truth, Jennifer's weight loss is no one's business. It's typical of the press today that while this country and the world falls apart around us the only thing they think worthy of notice is Jennifer's weight loss. Even Jennifer would agree that's just silly. As she stated, she wanted to move around, and get healthy.
Jennifer is a beautiful woman, 18 pounds heavier or lighter notwithstanding; size zero or not. Why should she have to justify a weight loss to you or anyone else?
Keep in mind... I'm just curious.

She does look amazing, the fact is she always looks amazing. However, I am disappointed. When those pictures came out I was outraged on her behalf becuase she looked beautiful and it was just the media being jerks. I was proud of how she handled the situation, how she handled herself and of what she said. It is a message a lot of women need to hear and believe. By turning around and doing a "weight loss" story she has betrayed everything she said she stood for and believed.
It would be one thing is she had been overweight and needed to lose for her health. However, she didn't really have 18 pounds to lose. I agree that her weight loss or gain is not our business, however it would have been better if she hadn't done a cover story on it just a few months after standing up for women's bodies.

So essentially what you are saying is she is allowed to have her cake, but she cannot eat it unless it is on our terms and not hers. She can lose weight, but loses credibility because she does. She can be roundly and viciously lampooned by the press because they judge her cruelly for a story that sells millions of rags, but god help her if she loses weight and does a story - that makes her less of a voice of reason and responsibility. For heaven's sake, can we all please do a reality check?
Jennifer's message has not, nor will it ever change! She is simply taking care of herself. I am as equally proud of her now. She hasn't betrayed a single thing or a single person by losing weight. If nothing else she reminds us that living healthy is essential. At no point has Jennifer said she regrets or decries her earlier comments.

Poor Jennifer! Can't she catch a break? No matter what her body size people feel they have the authority to criticize her. Wasn't the bottom line of her message that no matter what your size, be happy with who you are at that moment? As a role model how can she win? We as the public, as well as the magazines, will send out the message that no matter what your size people will criticize you. Which, if you think about it, is the unfortunate truth. She may have chosen a career in the public eye, but why can't we just let her be her? Give or take a few pounds, why should weight have been an issue in the first place?

Yes!!! I completely agree + or - 18 lbs -- or whatever weight for that matter -- She is a wonderfully talented person with a beautiful giving spirit. I am a fan of Jennifer, the person.

To Feles,
For her to say that she "loves her butt and boobs" and then to lose them a few months later and trumpet it on the cover of a magazine is somewhat hypocritical. If she loved her butt and boobs so much why did she lose them?
I aggree that she was unfairly lampooned. I was outraged on her behalf. And I am glad she is happy with her body and her life. I remain a fan of hers, but her message has been inconsistent.
I also sympathize with her because she never asked to be the poster child for 'body acceptance'...
