Thanks to both for posting these pics.

I know a lot of women hate the onset of crow's feet. I guess maybe I'm showing my age a little by saying this, but if you take a perfectly beautiful face like this (there are no other perfectly beautiful faces like this, I don't think!) and add tiny age lines (smile lines is a better name than crow's feet, I think), you have a fully mature, unsurpassably beautiful woman. I think her smiling eyes are more beautiful then ever. Eyes continue to mature and reflect the person's life experiences and thoughts as time goes by, I think. Her's show the rich beauty of the span of her life.

Alyssa also always wears big heels, I suppose because she sees herself as short. (Not that there's anything wrong with heels, especially these little strap numbers! Tres adorable!) I'm tall myself and have several male friends who are tall. They are almost without exception either married to or dating petite women. I have always been attracted to petite women. I don't know if it's opposites attracting or what, but my best friend who is also 6'3" is married to a woman who is just 5 feet.

I have a male friend that I've known for years who is about 5'3", pretty short for a man. We knew each other for a couple of years I think before the subject ever came up. When he mentioned that he'd always felt insecure about his height I can honestly say that I'd never even thought about it. He didn't believe me when I said this, but it's quite true. I know I can't speak for all tall people, but I've heard others echo this same thought. Tall people generally don't even notice how tall a person is until that person is taller than them. Which kind of makes sense when you think that they are accustomed to being taller than most people, and as such just kind of take it for granted. So here my friend is thinking I've been going around for a year or so thinking about how short he was and it had never even occurred to me! We always see our own perceived flaws so much more than others do. I think all four of the actresses who played the sisters on Charmed were not much more than 5 feet tall. Of course TV can hide this factor, but I seriously never even thought about how tall Alyssa is until it was called to my attention. Too busy being overwhelmed by her beauty to notice! But when I did, from the perspective of a tall guy, it was just an added bonus!
She is perfect in all ways...

So you short girls out there, just know the tall guys are checking you out!

Haha, Jim you crack me up. First, I love how you can make a well thought out conversation just from a few pictures! It's great! But hey, they are breathtakingly beautiful, so it's understandable=] lol. And in response to this comment about petite, short girls like Alyssa. I can't agree more! I, myself, am somewhat of a tall girl, and it gets me into trouble a lot! I'm about 5'7" so when I'm just walking around in a casual shoe I'm usually fine, but when I'm wearing a heel I can get up to 5'9"!! So, I always have to be conscious of how tall the guy I date is, and to be quite honest it sucks. Not saying I don't like being tall...I mean, it's great; usually;] But I definitely wouldn't mind be petite like Alyssa. In fact, as a kid I wanted to be "small" (as in short) so bad, I would walk around slouching and stuff all the time! Haha. I guess because my sister is very petite, only about 5 foot, and everyone always commented on how much taller than her it was. For some reason as a kid I was self-conscious about it! Anyways, point being I know exactly what you mean!!

THESE ARE BEAUTIFUL ALYSSA.

Katlyn

Hey, Katlyn. I always love reading your well thought out posts. You are savvy way beyond your years!
My 12 year old daughter is 5'8", so she'd agree with you! She's taller than most boys her age. I grew up in Illinois, where basketball is everything, so being tall was good. In fact, I remember hoping I'd grow taller. I have a 6 foot neice, as well!
What's odd is that I've seen the opposite thing happen where tall girls marry shorter guys. My niece's husband, in fact, is several inches shorter than her.

Everything about Alyssa is just in beautiful proportion and symmetry. One thing that a lot of women don't know about men is that we could care less (for the most part) about skinny. It's all about curves and proportion. Case in point: Marilyn Monroe, very much not skinny. You will never see a guy in a checkout line with a copy of Vogue or some other fashion model mag.

And yes, I do get a little long winded! Sorry - I could write a treatise on Alyssa's eye brows, or a dissertation on the space at the back of the neck where her baby hair curls, I'm so smitten. This is my only outlet, and it's better than just writing this down for no one to read. I've always used writing to settle things in my head, feel better about stuff, resolve issues. One poster reminded us guys the other day not to have crushes on Alyssa because we are not in her league. Well, of course we aren't. (I'm not sure I'm in anybody's league at my age, much less still playing the sport!) My heart couldn't care less. It's stupid, blind and can't tell age very well...

My best,

Jim

I am 5'9" and my husband is about 1/4" shorter than me. When we were dating I was always very conscious of the shoes I was wearing, I didn't want them to be too high. But now, after 5 years of marriage and 2 kids -- he asks me to wear high heels when we go out!! :)

Yes! Aside from shorter women using them to gain added height, a set of heels will flatter the lines of a woman's leg like no other shoe, for sure! I'm a fan!

I agree, tall woman only looking good is an old "cliche" (I think it's called that).

Old school models always needed to be tall and thin. I've noticed "Alot" of tall men date/marry shorter women, my father married my mom who is quite short.

I also wanted to date a short chick at school, who actually vaguely looked like Alyssa. ;)

Tall or short, I've always believed in Alyssa, since Who's the Boss... she got me hooked. :)

Lookin' F-I-N-E as always!

The more I think about it, the more I realize how truly beautiful Alyssa's smile is. It's completely natural and oh so infectious. Any time I'm in a bad mood, all I need to cheer me up is Alyssa Milano's lovely smile.

As for the tall vs. short issue, I really don't have a preference. I'm not one of those guys who feels intimidated by tall women. Height isn't important to me when it comes to evaluating women. As long as my first girlfriend has a killer smile, great sense of humor, and all the other qualities I find attractive, I'll be a happy camper.

Zach

Zach, this is completely true for me. To me, it's late at night when it's a little too quiet around here that I find my mood start to tank. It's almost always that time of day when a simple picture of her smiling face will be all that it takes to remind me that even though it may not be around me at that given moment, there is true, absolute beauty in the world. The people who are actually in her life and are the recipients of that smile are fortunate indeed.

On tall women: I've never felt intimidated by tall women, but then I'm 6'3" so I don't usually really notice a woman's height until she is around 6 feet. As for body types, my ex-wife weighed nearly as much as me (but then, I'm pretty skinny). It's that I have never been in any kind of relationship with a petite woman, I think. It's that "opposites attract" thing, too, I suspect. (I have blue eyes, and have always been attracted to dark eyed women as well). For some reason, almost every tall friend of mine is married to a short woman. But yes, Brooke Shields, attractive at 6'0"? To be sure.

To me, Alyssa is a perfect combination of petite, muscular, athletic, but but not to the point of tomboyishness (although that can be very attractive, too), and fit/toned. Add that face to that figure and she is sans pareil!

Speaking of tall women....years ago I was walking through the mall in Wollongong (that's in NSW, Australia....for all you non Aussies:D) and just happen to end up walking up behind this lady who was "jack and the beanstalk" tall. I'm 5'10" (or used to be...lost an inch or so because of my back) and I came upto about 3-4 inches below her shoulder!!!!!!!. I was going to ask her what the weather was like up there in the clouds, but I thought that would be a bit impertinent:o:D

Then I thought it would be prudent not to upset her like that because she looked twice my size, and anyway, there were her brothers to think about. If she was that tall, I can just imagine how big her brothers were!!!!. David and Goliath wouldn't even come close to a possible description of size difference (not that I was small at the time...80kgs). I had visions of one or more guys the size of two NFL linebackers, each, descending down on me like the Sword of Damocles!!!!

As they say, discretion is the better part of valour. Or in my particular case, better to chicken out whilst the going's good:D

I agree with you Jim, if the girls wouldn't have said anything bout them being short it's hard for me to believe that they are shorter than me  I'm 5"4.5 and I think that's still kinda short. I have always wished I was much taller but I have girlfriends who are 5"11 or above and they are always complaining about their heights. So nobody is ever happy with what they have, girls with straight hair want curly hair and vise versa while short girls want to be taller and so on.

I personally like tall boys but now that I think about it most of my boyfriends have been around 5"10, so height aint nothing but a measurement lol, as long as you like each other it doesn't matter what height he / she is :D

True, Viviana. I also notice that most of the really tall women I know married men somewhat shorter than them. Height doesn't make a lick of difference, as they say in Texas. I don't know if this is apocryphal or not, but Abraham Lincoln was supposed to have been asked by some guy how long a man's legs should be (Lincoln apparently had very long legs), and he responded by saying "Just long enough to reach the ground".:D

It would be a bit of a problem if your legs were a little short and didn't quite reach down far enough:p:p:D:D
