I found a link to a video of Alyssa being interviewed by a Seattle tv station. Very good

http://www.king5.com/video/?z=y&nvid=294884

The best part is when she says Lin still tries to send her to her room as punishment. I'd love to see that conversation.

What a great interview. I just loved it. What a difference from the two radio station interviews she had to put up with. It would not have taken much to be an improvement over them.

Thanks for the link!

I finally got to watch this. A very pleasant interview. Now we know why she didn't go to the prom in high school!

I realize she's probably going to have to eventually cut her hair, but I hope it's not for a long, long time. It is so long and beautiful, healthy, shiny. Just wonderful. I loved watching her little hands peaking out of the sleeves of her hoodie. Did I ever mention that she has the most wonderful hands in the world? That's one thing I do remember from Who's the Boss - she speaks with her hands quite a bit. I've never much even payed attention to a women's hands, and somehow I can't take my eyes off hers.

I sometimes get the impression, as in this intervew, that most people still equate her with Who's The Boss. To me, it's all about Charmed. I wasn't a huge Tony Danza fan, and frankly didn't think the show was terribly funny. They showed reruns here in the Dallas market for a while, but it's kind of hard to catch, whereas there's like 4 hours of Charmed on TNT every day.

I'm standing by if she needs an escort to the prom on her 40th birthday. I'll rent a powder blue tux, borrow my dad's Monte Carlo, get 20 bucks for gas, make reservations at La Cucina, and we can stay out past curfew...

That was a pretty good interview, but I have just one minor complaint. The video quality was kinda choppy when I played it on my computer, even on the normal size. Did anyone else notice this?

Anyway, I gotta agree with Jim about associating Alyssa with Charmed. That was my first exposure to her, so naturally I think of Alyssa as Phoebe Halliwell. I've never seen an episode of Who's the Boss (I was born 4 years after it debuted, and even while it was still airing I never watched WTB). Does anyone else agree that Alyssa & Phoebe share a lot of similar traits? They're both very sweet, caring, funny, lovable, and have killer smiles. I finally got around to sending Alyssa a message through her MySpace account and mentioned this point.

I also have to agree about Alyssa's hair. It's always looked great, but for the past 3 years, Alyssa's hair has been truly vibrant. Earlier today, while I was doing some homework, I overheard a Proactiv commercial on TV and stopped what I was doing to watch it. Alyssa Milano looked lovely in that ad.

Oh, and BTW Jim, if you can't make it to Alyssa's prom on her 40th b-day, I'd be willing to take your place, pal! :p

Yes, I did too, Zach, but assumed it was my crappy aging laptop...

Yeah, this is a topic that I'd love to hear an actor talk about at length. When I see someone as completely passionate and personable as the Phoebe character, I wonder how much it reflects the actor's real personailty. I mean, I know they're acting, but it's not created out of whole cloth, so to speak. They have to draw on something. And there's just too much authenticity to some of the gestures that she uses, for example, to think that they aren't hers in "real" life as well.

OK, Zach. I'll keep you in mind, but unless I have diphtheria or Dengue fever, I'm probably going to make it, my friend!

OK, rock, paper, scissors it is! Actually, you rank us, Gary, so I suppose you ought to get the first right of refusal, so to speak! I'll be the chauffeur, OK?

Since I'm preparing a career in journalism, I'll choose paper for the game. May the best man win! :D

Personally, I have a tendency to cheat and throw other household items into the mix. Usually, when someone throws paper, I pull out the office guillotine (cuts up to 20 sheets at a time). It soon becomes a game of diamond, ruby, titanium, and the rules go out the window, leaving all with bruises and refusing to apologize.

That's how I roll.

I was going to suggest a game of lawn mower, garden sheers, and scythe, but I can see you're not to be trifled with, Tom, so I'll yield...

On a similar note...

I just thought of a potential guest star/cast member for Single with Parents: the great Italian-American stand-up comedian Pat Cooper. For those who don't know him, he's been performing since the '50s (some of the older members might be familiar with his work), and has appeared on Seinfeld, the Ed Sullivan Show, the Dean Martin Show, L.A. Law, Analyze This/Analyze That, Howard Stern, Jackie Gleason, David Letterman, and lots of other shows/movies. I can envision Pat playing Alyssa's grandfather on SWP, whether it be a one-shot guest appearance or a semi-regular.
Alyssa has proven she can be very funny, so she & Pat would have great chemistry. Just a thought.
