Hey guys! Sorry I didn’t get back in time last week. I’ll try to make sure that it doesn’t happen again. I was crazy busy with my show, PEEPSHOW. I was rehearsing 10 hours a day and had the opening of my show. It’s calmed down, so I’m back on track now.
Just a reminder, I won’t be answering repeat questions so look through all my answers and you’ll probably find the answer to your question.
Also, I hope you guys are enjoying the pictures and video of Peepshow that have come out online and on my website. Let me know what you think!!!
Sending you all of my love!!! Keep smiling!
Mel B.
Q from sg4ever:
Hi Mel! Thanks a lot for answering our questions.
I've always loved your style from the Spice days to today, and it's changed so much! We've seen you wearing lots of fabulous Louboutins, but clothes wise, who would you say is your favourite designer or fashion brand? And would you wear any of Victoria's dresses? I think they're hot!
Love ya!
Carol xx
A: I have many of Victoria’s items!! I think they are fantastic!
I love Marc Jacobs boots, Christian Louboutin boots, I like to mix an match my style with designer and non designer items. Thanks for being so complimentary!
Q from hernanG:
Hi Mel, my name is Hernan im 18 and im from Colombia, ive been a fan of you and the girls since im 5 (not kidding), you are amazing and really hot btw!! lol... i have 2 questions for u
- Is there any singer from Latinamerica that you like/know or admire?
- have u ever kissed any of the spice girls? (sorry had to ask lol)
THANKS!... God bless you, take care bye!
A: I really like Shakira. I just love the whole Latin American feel. The Salsa. The dances. The moves. And of course, the energy down there.
The question have I ever kissed any of the spice girls, come on you’re talking to me…
Q from emily8:
Hey Melanie!!!
I screamed my head off when i saw your reply!!! Thank you soooo much I think you just made my LIFE!! LOL JK!!!! I figured you have never been to Mount Pleasant before not many people have. Also there is sort of kinda really nothing much over here. Just hopeing you might show up one day. Anyways my qustion is if you had the chance would you do some songs with Emma, Mel c, Geri, or Victoria on your third album?!?
Love you always,
Emily
A: I would love to do songs with the other girls on my third album. But that’s not really the direction my album is going.
Q from Spiceworld:
Hi Mel!
I have 2 questions for you
1. Before Geri left the Spice Girls, i think in an interview you said that you were going to make a third album where you and mel c would sing sisters and Emma would do a solo ect. Did you have songs that you were going to put on to the album? Did you write any?
2. When i send a letter to the fan club, could i send something with it to get it signed and if so, what would you recommend i send?
Thanks!!!!!
A: Spice girls have a catalogue of a lot of songs that have been written together as a group, but never used. Maybe one day they’ll come out who knows…
I don’t know what you have, so I can’t tell you what to send!
Q from llltw:
Heya Melanie! How's it going?!
It's really nice of you to reply to so many questions, and it's great to read all of your answers.. Well I've got a few to ask:
- We all know that back in the days before you signed with Virgin you recorded a lot of songs, such as 'Melody of life', 'Don't look back', 'We're gonna make it happen', 'Sugar and spice' and in most of them you rapped. Then you did it with some other songs like 'Step to me', 'Weekend love' and 'Love thing'.. I'd like to know which rap you had fun to sing the most and if they were mainly written by you.
- With "Forever" you've made a strong change of direction in terms of sound/vibe. Was it for you the best choice to leave out of the record songs like 'Treasure', 'Overnight', 'Go go go' and 'WOMAN' (or even the first version of 'Right back at ya') which probably had the same feeling as the tracks from the previous two albums?
A: A lot of the raps were written as a group, but ultimately because I sang them I tweaked them to be my own.
The songs that ended up on any of our albums were a group decision.
Q from foreverlovnu:
Inquiring minds would like to know. From one Northerner(Leeds) to another. For me finding the right place to settle down and live was hard work.(US) I tried out at least 12 different states before I settled in one. Not because I liked it but because I got tired of moving. Haha, so my question to you is this:
**Moving from UK to US; was LA the first stop that you thought of to live? If so then why? I've lived in LA and I didn't really like the atmosphere to much! What's your thoughts on that?
PS, I was at the taping of DWTS when you and Maks performed the Samba for the results show. I was excited yet bummed, because I was that close to you and couldn't greet you! I still say it was a miscount. Lol!
Thanks love
A: I actually wanted to move to Australia, but my mom convinced me it was too far away. And if I wanted to pursue singing and acting, then Los Angeles was the best place. I actually didn’t like LA when I first got there also, but when I found the right places to go and the right English crew then I got used to it.
Q from MaxFrance:

Q from Linds16:
Thanks so much for taking time to answer our questions. Here are some more I have for you..
1) What was the best thing about being on Dancing With The Stars?
2) Where do you see your self 5-10 years from now?
A: The best thing was having so much fun!!! Everyday I laughed and I got to work with MAKS!
I don’t really like to look that far ahead, but hopefully happy, healthy, and safe.
Q from triachelle:
Hi Melanie,
Not so much a question as a comment...Last December I was diagnosed with Type II Diabetes and told I need to start getting healthy. I made the decision to get your Totally Fit DVD and commit to working out with you at least three times a week. It's now the end of March and people are noticing my weight loss, but more importantly my blood sugar is down to a healthy level.
I've been following your healthy recipes, as well and enjoying my new life. As a reward, I'm going to go see "Peepshow" in Vegas. Thank you for finding a motivating approach to healthcare. I'm looking forward to the show.
Thanks again,
Tiachelle
A: So glad to hear that you are back on track health wise, and glad to know I could help you out. I’m very proud of you, well done, and keep up the hard work!!
Q from emardoug:
Hey Mel!
It's so cool that you take the time to do this! I got the chance to meet you at your NYC signing for Totally Fit and it was awesome!
So my question is - Do you keep gifts that fans give you? I know sometimes you can't keep everything, but I thought it would be cool to know if you do anything with the gifts that your fans give to you.
I'm coming to see Peepshow for my 21st birthday in June - I can't wait! Break a leg!
Thanks, Mel!
-Doug
A: Anything that fans give me I keep, but I particularly like the photographs and collages that people give me.
Q from JadePrincess:
Hey Mel B!
I really admire how healthy you look as a mother of three gorgeous children.
I wonder how you do it and what types of food you eat on a day to day basis?
Also, how often do you work out and for how long during each session?
Thanks!
A: Buy Totally Fit, I explain everything in there. Search online or buy it to find out everything you want to know about my personal regime.
Q from gizmo:
hey mel,
Have you thought of managing anyone, if so i have the perfect person for ya. she can sing she can model she can make you lots of money however she has a lil bit of attitude... if you aint up for it why not ask one of your friends lol i know you got lots of um and she needs a break
A: That is something I definitely want to do in the future. I’m not making any promises right now, but send it to the fanclub and I’ll take a look at her.
Q from gingerboy:
Hi Mel!! Im Fernando Cuesta from Marbella, Spain.
I would like to ask you which song of Geri Halliwell solo career would you like to make a new version, and the same with Melanie C, Emma and Victoria.
Thank you
(POST FROM paul drewry: She wouldn't want to make any new versions I bet she say the are fine songs already.)
A: Exactly what Paul said.
Q from bimon:
Hey Mel, thanks for answering my question last week...just to clear it up...i meant the tour in the 90's when you recorded music...not the recent one...
Anwayy...i was wondering what type of music you like to listen too? I love house music and was wondering if you enjoy listening to it, and if you do, who your favorite DJ is? Do you like any clubs out by you?
Also, saw you in AC at a club a while back...Did you like it there??
Talk to you soon
A: I’m listening to a lot of old school Mary J Blige in my dressing room. The club scene here in Vegas is a bit hit or miss. But my perfect music night out would be to drum and bass, and jungle music, with some old school piano garage.
Q from Scarylove:
Hey Melanie!
First of all, thanks so much for doing this for us fans; you don’t know how much it means for me. It's so nice that you're for taking some time for us. I just want you to know how much I love and admire you.
Well I have some totally random questions, for being just different :
- What would you do if you were invisible for one day?
- What is the worst thing you have ever eaten?
- What was the last film you have seen in theater?
Thanks so much again, can’t wait for your future projects!
Lots of Love,
Steffi from Switzerland
A: If I were invisible for one day, I would go back inside the womb. How random is that?!?!? I’d go inside the womb and hang out for a few hours. HAHAHA!
The worst thing I ever ate was an off scallop and I’ve never eaten one since!
“Taken”, it was brilliant.
Just a reminder, I won’t be answering repeat questions so look through all my answers and you’ll probably find the answer to your question.
Also, I hope you guys are enjoying the pictures and video of Peepshow that have come out online and on my website. Let me know what you think!!!
