Q&A 9/24/09

Word up my peeps! Being back in LA is so amazing and ridiculously hot. I think it was 105 degrees from what I heard on the news. It felt hotter! Since I’ve been back I’ve done about 20 loads of laundry since I was gone for so long.

One thing I discovered whilst I was in London is River Island, they do the best jeans and boots. Also, while I was in London I managed to get all of the Spice Girls together, well minus Victoria who was not in London. We had lots of baby talk and catching up to do! Most importantly we had a great time and got a little tipsy together!

Having not been on my regular work out schedule while I was in London, I‘ve had to grab work out classes here and there since I’ve been back in LA. But ultimately what always works is my Totally Fit DVD workout. I managed to eat stoggy English food and still keep to my workout regime. Been working out with Kelly Monaco the past 3 days here in LA at Body Theory doing their Drenched workout. I also just got back from Vegas with the family. I also got to hang out with my Peepshow crew and catch Britney. She is such an amazing performer, it was a fabulous show. Did you know that Pinks Hot Dog in Vegas has a hot dog named after me?!?! So my one day of unhealthy eating was MY hot dog!

I can’t wait to tell you about my project I just shot for ITV, it’s called “7 Days on the Breadline”. I had to live in the projects with a family, you all will just have to watch and enjoy!

A: It was a spontaneous thing, because the five of us are nothing but spontaneous.

1. Okay, you know how you and Victoria both live in L.A. would you say you see her more than the other girls? I mean I know she travels a lot and you travel a lot but do you go to her house and she goes to your house or you just meet up and have a chat more often then with the other girls?
2. Do you play World Of Warcraft? It's an odd question but yeah.


A: Yes we’ve been to each others houses in LA. But recently we keep missing each other because of our schedules.

Hi Melanie, looking on the AIDA booklet I've just realised that it's stated that the recording studios where you recorded "My Strongest Suit" are:

- Battery Studios, NY
- Right Track Studios, NY
- Digital Studios, Texas
- Abbey Road Studios, London

Does this mean that the vocals have been recorded in all those different places (maybe separately), or they're just the names of all the studios where all the music has been recorded?


A: We all as a group recorded them in all these different places.

Hi Mel! I was just wondering if you could give us any info on the wannabe video? We know it was really cold when you were filming but do you have any other info like if the staff knew you were going to be filming and if the people that get out the car are extras??? Thanks!!!!


A: The people are extras that get out of the car. And we had to hire people to come in and design and dress it all.

I have to say i am really enjoying your Totally Fit DVD i worked out all summer i enjoy working out now ! it's great and i feel i get a lot out of it . So thank you so much for doing this dvd. I hope you bring out another one.

So while you are in London are you going to be meeting up with Melanie C and Scarlet? If you have met them already was it nice seeing each other again , what did you two get up too??

I know you have answered this Q over and over, and over again. But i just want to say i hope oneday you will be able to release the Tour Dvd. I loved the tour so much!! I went to the Vancouver show ( just a day shy after my birthdy Best BIrthday gift EVER) than i travelled to Las Vegas, and i went to NYC as well . I had the best time of my LIFE!! So i hope all the Spice fans around the world get to have those moments back again.

I always keep hoping maybe, just maybe you girls could do a Big Wembley Show that could be the DVD and than thats that. I would do anything in the world to be there. I'll never ever stop dreaming.

A: All of the Spice Girls have copies of the shows. And all of our copies have our name on them in case they get stolen or lost.

Hi Melanie, as Geri stated long time ago, the concert setlist had a story and it represented the story of your group. I perfectly understand the choice of her leaving the stage in Viva Forever and coming back after Holler and the solo projects.

What I don't understand is the meaning of yours and Emma's solos in between Who Do You Think You Are and straight before Viva Forever. Could you explain me that part a bit more? Thanx a lot!


A: There was no meaning to our solo parts, apart from us individuals having fun.

Definitely! Her show opens at the end of October and she is totally fab. I recommend everyone go see it!

It was great that the Spice Girls reunited for the fans. I saw you on DWTS, and I learned preparing for a great endeavor takes a lot of a person. Now, Whitney Houston is making a comeback. Did you see her interview on Oprah? If so or if not, what is your take on it?


A: I’ve always been a huge fan of Whitney Houston. I can’t wait to see her perform again. I think that she is amazing.

A: We’ve texted each other over the last couple of days. He seems to be doing fine. He’s busy with the new season of DWTS. He’s such a great guy! I’m sure I’ll be seeing him soon.

We (brazilians) were ready to go to Argentina (Buenos Aires)...I even started saving up - 4 months from my work salary in order to go to Argentina..I was so bummed out when it was cancelled..but I overcame it..
