Alyssa's Neck Tattoo

What is the tattoo on Alyssa's neck? I have searched and searched, and I have come up with 2 explanations. One being, an Indian symbol for power. However, I can't find any kind of Indian "symbols" online. Is it Sanskrit or Hindi or some other language? It would have to be some kind of language, even an om is a Sanskrit language unit. Another site said it was a Kanji symbol for luck, but it looks nothing at all like Japanese. I really want a tattoo similar to this on my neck, but I don't want the exact same one...and I would like to know where to find more that flow like hers does. I don't know if it is one symbol or a word put together by different symbols either. Any help at all would be appreciated. Thank you.

The tattoo on Alyssa's neck is the Hindu symbol for depth of heart & wisdom. Hope that helps. All of Alyssa's tattoos have special meaning to her.
